The delightful blend of savory and sweet flavors is evident in these Maple Bacon Cake Pops. The crisp bacon bits are the ideal complement to the moist yellow cake, maple syrup, and cream cheese frosting. For an additional layer of sweetness and to create a distinctive and decadent treat, they are dipped in white chocolate.
Ingredients: 1 box of yellow cake mix. 1/2 cup of maple syrup. 1/2 cup of cooked and crumbled bacon. 1/2 cup of cream cheese frosting. 12 ounces of white chocolate chips. 12 cake pop sticks. Additional crumbled bacon for garnish.
Instructions: As directed on the package, prepare the yellow cake mix. In a 9 by 13-inch pan, bake the cake and allow it to cool fully. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Add the cream cheese frosting, crumbled bacon, and maple syrup and mix until well combined. Using a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shape the mixture into small cake balls. Put a popsicle stick into every cake ball. In a bowl safe for the microwave, melt the white chocolate chips for 30 seconds at a time, or until smooth. Let any excess white chocolate drip off after dipping each cake pop into the melted chocolate. While the chocolate is still wet, place the dipped cake pops back on the lined baking sheet and sprinkle with more crumbled bacon. The chocolate needs to set, so place the cake pops in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes. Present and savor your delectable pops of maple bacon cake!
