I was lost in thoughts walking my dog through our little neighborhood, when these abundantly flowering yellow cymbidium orchids stopped me in my tracks. They were simply growing by the side of a garage. Judging from the look of the rest of the front yard, I had the impression that they weren’t getting any special care. They seem to love the spot they were planted in and our Southern California climate! I am sure that the decent winter rains that we got this year were helpful as well. But in general this is the perfect example for planting the right plant in the right place, which I believe is always one of the best garden philosophies to live by. Do you also have a plant in your garden that is very pretty and grows almost by itself without you having too much to care for it? And if, so which plant is it? Happy Easter to all of you, who celebrate it! For the rest, wishing you a lovely Sunday! . . . #cymbidium #cymbidiumorchids #cymbidiumorchid #orchid #orchids #yellowcymbidium #yellowcymbidiums #yellowcymbidiumorchids #sandiego #southerncalifornia #california #organicgardendreams #yellow #blooms #flowers #yellowblooms #yellowflowers #abundance #beautiful #therightplantfortherightplace (at San Diego, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwhXf2TlbfM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xabre9agwpto
