Lotus Nelumbo nucifera at the CU Boulder EBIO greenhouse.
The Blue Oil Fern Microsorum thailandicum. The blue iridescence comes from cellulose microfibrils stacked into helicoidal structures. Those structures appear on both the top and bottom epidermal surface, differing, with top epidermis being more blue, while the bottom being red-shifted and less intense.
Sarracenia x catesbei is a hybrid of Sarracenia flava and Sarracenia purpurea. This particular clone is a cross of Sarracenia purpurea 'Belly of Blood' and Sarracenia flava Black Veins made by Calen Hall.
Selaginella willdenowii goes by the common names of Willdenow's spikemoss and peacock fern and is known for its iridescent blue leaves
