Kat stopped to walk, her heels stopping clicking on the floor. She looked around, squinting her eyes before looking back at her phone. She had first thought that her lover had answered her texts, but the message came from an unknown number. If one of here engineer had hacked her phone, he was dead.
[text]: I really hope that you are not one of my employees. But then if you are just a stalker you are screwed too.
At first, there was no reply from Kat’s mysterious interlocutor. But hoping it would end there would have been asking too much from the entity who were currently floating around Kat, unfortunately concealed from mortal's eyes.
Aitem's curiosity had been piqued as soon as he had crossed path with the woman while he was wandering aimlessly, already tired from that dimension. Feeling he might have found someone deserving his attention, he had decided to follow her on a whim to see where she was heading for. But then she had started to take selfies, and he had grown bored to the point where he had felt the urge to hack her phone and send her a message. He hadn't browsed her files, though. His friends had told him more than once that it was rude to do so, especially when initiating the first contact, and he had learned to restrain himself... begrudgingly. Anyway, his tact didn’t prevent the woman to be upset.
They were always upset at first.

Alright, perhaps full was a bit of an exaggeration. It was more like all the carriages contained more than two people already, and Bakura wasn’t exactly keen on the idea of having to share a bench with someone else-- especially if he had the impulse to spread out a bit and take a short nap.
He regarded the blonde girl with little more than a glance in her direction after his initial announcement, before he pulled a book from a bag he had on him, and began paging through it.

Kat listened to him, playing with the ears of her dog Doggo. “And the day, you sleep upside down?”
Ok, it wasn’t the best way to continue a conversation, but she was actually trying. After all, Tim was her bestie’s boyfriend and Isa had saved Kat’s life, so she could at least make effort to socialize… but it was far from won!
Timaeus chuckled, “No, and I don’t eat bugs either.” Though he could fly but he’d keep that part to himself. Even if she was a friend of Isabel’s he didn’t know her well enough to feel comfortable sharing that side of him and truthfully it would probably be better if she didn’t know. What would she think if she knew her friend was dating some freak created in a lab.
”During the day I work at a music store and when I’m not there I’m playing with the band.” When he wasn’t with Isabel of course. TImaeus tried to speak as clearly and carefully as possible knowing he still sometimes had trouble with Japanese and his accent only made pronunciation of certain things worse.
Socializing had never been Tim’s strong suit and he would have felt better had Isabel been there but he wanted to get to know her friend’s better so he had to try at least.

To Mokuba, Summer was a godsend; a relief from a barrage of homework, warm weather to enjoy, but most of all an excuse to stay home with Seto, even though it was Kaiba Corp.’s busiest time of year second only to Christmas -- a great time to market new products as children and teens took their breaks from school. As imperative as it was for Seto to be present for the marketing of his new products, one thing and one thing only had been able to keep him away this year -- and that was relentless begging.
“Seto, seriously? Why do we have this big pool in our back yard if we never use it?” Mokuba complained from across the breakfast table, deadpanning a displeased look at his brother. Seto remained unaffected and sipped his coffee.
“That pool was here before we were.”
“Well, yeah, but -- why do you bother keeping it clean, then?” An excellent question, Mokuba thought. He tried to keep back a grin as he took a bite of his breakfast.
“Bet you don’t have a good answer for that, do ya?”
Again the elder brother sat unperturbed.
“Clearly because I want it to look clean.”
Apparently having a “good” or “bad” answer was not the point of the matter -- not to Seto, anyway, but having a legitimately reasonable one had his little brother stumped. Could he not tear Seto away from his work even for a single day? He had argued the point for three days now and nothing seemed to catch his attention. Mokuba was not one to quit so easily, however, and with only one card left up his sleeve he played it with pride.
“Fine. I’ll call Kat. She’ll hang out with me. We could swim, play video games, have a party -- ya’know, stuff siblings are supposed to do together?”
Seto’s cup hit the table a little harder than intended, but his point was made. Mokuba’s trick was dirty, but it had caught Seto’s attention. He wasn’t sure whether to feel proud of himself or guilty.
“That was a low blow, Mokuba. It’s almost like you suddenly don’t understand what it is that I work for.”
“Really? What you “work for”? Have you completely lost it? It’s like you think you are the company. But you’re not. You’re not a machine, you’re my brother, and I want to spend time with you!”
Mokuba’s hand hit the table with an equal force and Seto fell silent, not so much out of shock, but to hear his brother speak his mind. Mokuba had surprised himself with his own frustration -- just how long had he been holding that in?
“ … Ugh, whatever. I know how much Kaiba Corp. means to you. It’s just- I thought you’d actually get it. I’m just gonna call-”
-RING RING; RING RING- Kat Calling. Answer?
“- Uh. Oh, wow. Nice timing, Kat.”
At the other end of the table Seto sat patiently, irritated that he hadn’t gotten the chance to respond but willing to wait for the duration of the call. He could have demanded Mokuba hang up so that they could talk, but upon thinking about what his brother said, he had decided against that in favor of a better option: a surprise. Guilt, for Seto, was a great motivator.
“Yeah, so, in an hour? Bring your bathing suit! We’ll have a blast with or without my grumpy brother.”
“ I love how big your cock gets when I talk to you like this. “
