Grizzlies living in the Continental U.S., listed in 1975 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services an endangered species, have increased in numbers since that date. In 1975 there were 136 grizzlies in the 14 million acres known as the Greater Yellowstone Area (GYA), which includes Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, plus surrounding National Forest lands and neighboring private land and ranches. The last count of 2010 resulted in 602 grizzlies. Wolf numbers have encountered similar developments, with no breeding wolf pairs known to inhabit Yellowstone in the 1990s to 98 wolves in 10 packs in Yellowstone by 2011. There's no question that when you take the two-day Yellowstone Predators Photo Tour, you're going to come away with the adventure of a lifetime!!
