An important deleted scene from International Version

This was in the finale episode and I do think this is a very important scene because it brings everything to a wrap. A lot of people who watched SBS version assume that Yeonhwa is the winner but this proves otherwise. It perfectly aligns with stance the writer took on power : To have power is to be lonely and corrupt. Yeonhwa might have assumed that having the throne all to herself will make her powerful and no one will scheme against her but she was wrong. Her own husband never trusts her and her son and her own mother is plotting against her. She is now cornered and is easy target. Once again , the writer establishes irony in the plot, and it’s brilliant. It shows how greed could end up destroying everything you held dear. Nobody wins.
