I have always liked being around people, especially when they are in need. I find happiness knowing that I managed to make a change in someone’s like, even when it is the smallest impact.
I have created a little space where I will be posting lots of positive messages and quotes, please come support :)
Hey guys, today I’ll be reviewing a couple products from Pyunkang Yul.
I’m sure many of you have heard of the common kbeauty brands such as Etude House, Innisfree etc but Pyunkang Yul I believe is fairly new so hence I’m here to test it out for you guys!
The products I have are the:
Pyunkang Yul Renewal ATO Cream
Pyunkang Yul Eye Cream
Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule
Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner
Right now all these products are 30% off at stylekorean! I have embedded the links to stylekorean’s website so just click on the product you’re interested in and it will direct you straight there :)
I have done a little research on the brand and they are well known for being a medicinal brand hence they do not use any fragrance or harsh products - perfect for sensitive prone skin!
Disclaimer: All comments are honest and not biased in any way.
Personally, I have sensitive prone skin and I have tried brands such as Garnier’s toner but unfortunately it broke me out and gave me and allergic reaction - which I suspect is from strong scent that it carries. I have tested out these products for a week and I’m glad to say that it’s effective and I did not break out at all! :)
First product - Pyunkang Yul Renewal ATO Cream
This ATO Cream is designed for people with special skin conditions such as eczema or simply people with dry skin. As Pyunkang Yul is a medicinal brand, they have various ingredients that they use in this product such as. Lonicer Aflower, Ceramide, Peptide, Azulene. I had to do a bit of research to find out what they each do:
Loncier Aflower - keeps the skin temperature down (helps with anti-aging!) and revitalises moisture circulation system hence giving your skin the balance between oil and moisture to promote a healthy environment
Ceramide - keeps and strengthens skin barrier to allow moisture and nutrition to stay in the inner layer of skin
Peptide - Chains of amino acid which has a powerful effect on skin vitalisation effect
Azulene - Known as the blue energy found in nature which acts as a protection from your skin (prevents dryness and rough surfaces)
Personal opinion on this product: I have used it for a week consecutively and it is definitely rich in moisture but does not leave a sticky residue. It is very evident where you have applied it in terms of your skin’s texture - it leaves my skin moist and supple and definitely a cream I would purchase continuously. The cute packaging is also a plus plus from me!
Next up: Pyunkang Yul Eye Cream
Now this product is quite unique in terms of packaging as compared to other eye creams. It is packaged into 50 mini sample size product each weighing 1mL (So 50mL of eye cream product in total)
This product is designed to prevent wrinkles around the eyes so I have shared this product with my mum. We both agree that a packet itself is a lot of eye cream for one use so 1 packet can actually be used at least twice depending on how much product you normally use. The cream is extremely thick and moisturizing but like the ATO cream - it does not leave any sticky residues and evaporates quite quickly
Pyunkang Yul’s Eye Cream has 3 main ingredients in it:
Ginseng Extract - Promotes synthesis of collagen within skin hence improves elasticity & prevent aging
Shea Butter Tree - forms moisture protection barriers
Personal Opinion: Both my mum and I love it - it is moisturising and very rich which is what I need personally as I tend to be a little dry and flaky under my eyes. I do not usually put eye cream but now I certainly will after discovering this product. As for my mum - she has been using the innisfree orchid eye cream but she thinks this product is equally as good and rich in moisture.
A downside would be inconvenience from the small packets that you will have to open and check if there are any leftovers from the previous packet. But the positive thing about that is HYGIENE from the small packets which I appreciate.
Next up: Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule
This is the product I am the most excited and pleased about. As it is winter at the moment - my face becomes dry and sandpaper like. This product is AMAZING.
Now if you’re not a fan of products with a thick glue like texture - this is not for you. However it is NOT STICKY at all. It may feel sticky initially but as you gently rub the product into your skin and allow some time for absorption - it evaporates quickly leaving your skin smooth, supple and moisturised!
Personal Opinion: This is so moisturizing and my old moisturizers that I’ve been using cannot beat this. I have never used any ampoules before but I believe that this has definitely changed my view on it. Just make sure that you rub it in well and pat your face. Allow time for absorption (shouldn’t take too long) but like I said - if you truly dislike products with a sticky/glue like texture, this is probably not for you. But if you’re worried about it leaving a sticky residue - then rest assured this product doesn’t do that :)
Last and Final Product: Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner
Now this is a Mist Toner and you simply spray it on without any cotton pads. I’ve only previously tried toners using a cotton pad but I think I have officially converted. I always felt using cotton pads for products seems to be quite a waste as cotton pads tend to soak up quite a bit of product.
Active Ingredients in this product: Barberry Root Extract
What does this toner do? Keeps skin temperature down
Personal Opinion: This product is super portable and you can bring it anywhere - not necessary for toning purposes but also during hot days where your skin requires a little pick me up for moisture and cooling purposes. Keep in mind that if you’re spraying with make up on - don’t spray it too close to your face as it will smudge!!
I am quite happy with all 4 products from Pyunkang Yul - definitely a brand I will be looking out for. I especially love that they are known as a medicinal brand and this keeps me assured that the ingredients that they use are natural with no harsh chemicals. I hope this review was helpful to you all if you were thinking to try out some new products and I hope to be able to try more products for you guys and let you know what I think about them. :)
