Chapter three: "what's is family is about...?"
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Narrator: "The day has dawned, the darkness of that night is gone. During the day, birds were singing or fluttering, leaves falling everywhere on the sidewalk... well, let's not talk about that, obviously. Let's talk about our new adventurers, Mac and Mugman. They were both at home getting ready to go out, while Mac went to work or to buy the important things for it. Mac, who was getting ready, looked at Mugman, still a little sad but at peace at home, since it was too comfortable.
Mac: "Hey, Mugman? Do you mind staying out on the streets? I have a job as a bartender, but you don't like noise that much, since sometimes the bar gets very noisy. So... will you stay out on the street?" *He said respectfully to Mugman and finished getting ready to go outside or to work*
Mugman: "Hm? Oh, sure, sure." "I think I'd accept working on the streets or watching from the shop, even as a child I didn't like noises that much, but I'll stay on the street so you can work at the bar." *He gives Mac a calm smile, now also ready to leave home.*
Narrator: "Mac gives a calm smile and carefully takes Mugman's arm, opening the door so they can both leave the house and go to the street where there were several shops or jobs to go to. Mac and Mugman arrive at the street, Mac lets go of Mugman's arm and approaches the bar where Mac works."
Mac: "Well... it's time for my job serving drinks and good luck to you, Mugman... I hope you'll be okay without the noise on every street." *He says calmly to Mugman and opens the back door, where the waitresses or bartenders' uniforms were to start their work at the bar.*
Narrator: "Mugman waves goodbye and looks to the side, where the shops or jobs were." Mugman starts walking calmly, still thinking about the incident of Cuphead's "death," but shakes his head, not wanting to think about it now. As Mugman was looking at the sky, suddenly... Poof! Mugman was knocked to the ground, but... who was this clown who just bumped into Mugman? It was a... a child? What would a child be doing in the streets like that? Mugman wouldn't be rude to a child who was simply lost. Mugman sighed and looked at the child.
Mugman: "Hey... Why did you bump into me like that out of nowhere...? Do you want something...?" *He said it, but he wasn't rude and asked gently.*
Claus Richard (OC MOTM): "No, no, sir. It's just... I'm running away from Madame Penguin and I don't want to stay in that orphanage anymore, where you have to clean on your knees... please, sir... help me hide from her..." *He says this to Mugman in almost despair and fear, not wanting to be caught and mistreated by that lady who gave the orders at that orphanage.*
Narrator: "Mugman is surprised by the child's words, truly worried about the child. Mugman then decided to do this... Mugman gets up from the ground and picks up the child, placing the child in his arms, protecting the child."
Mugman: "So... should I know your name? But I'm not a threat, okay?" *He says to the child, giving a friendly and calm smile*
Claus Richard: "Claus... Claus Richard, sir... but thank you so much for not being a rude adult... thank you so much..." *He thanks him profusely and hugs Mugman's shoulders, beginning to feel calmer and more comfortable beside Mugman*
Mugman: "Don't call me 'sir' so much anymore, okay? You can call me Daddy Mugsy." *He speaks to Claus Richard, gently caressing Claus Richard's cheeks.*
Narrator: "Claus Richard's eyes light up upon hearing this from Mugman, now feeling more comfortable and excited about it. Claus Richard nods in agreement and hugs Mugman tighter in gratitude and comfort. Mugman sighs calmly and hugs Claus Richard back, as if it were Mugman's child that had truly been born in his hands. Mugman starts walking carefully towards Mac's house, following the path Mac always tells him to take. When the two arrive home, Mugman carefully places Claus Richard in the chair at the kitchen table. Mugman takes the food from the bag, removes the bag containing the food, and puts it in the microwave, as he couldn't leave it cold for poor Claus Richard. The microwave finishes heating the food, and Mugman takes it, placing a cloth underneath to avoid burning his hand. Mugman gently places the food towards Claus Richard, sitting down next to Claus Richard."
Mugman: "Careful not to burn your little mouth, okay? Otherwise the dragon will burn your mouth!" *He jokes, tickling Claus Richard's belly, just like Cuphead did in Mugman's childhood, and also stopping to let Claus Richard eat.*
Narrator: "Claus Richard laughs happily, clearly loving Mugman's company but not knowing Already at Mac's, since he works at a bar like that, but he also starts eating a lot, Claus Richard was so hungry it seemed like he couldn't finish a plate of food. Mugman gives a calm smile but is thinking about something that simply entered his mind.
Mugman in his thoughts: "Is all this... family or not? I think it's better... to take care of this child before I lose this child like I lost my brother..." *he says in his mind, clearly not wanting to lose any of the most important families that Mugman held in his heart or in his life. But Mugman didn't think about that and looked at Claus Richard who was still eating his food animatedly but also respectfully so as not to mess everything up.*
Narrator: "Hours passed, Mugman gave Claus Richard a bath and put him to bed, taking much more respectful care of him. Mugman hears the door open and notices Mac arriving home with tired eyes but also calm." Mugman calmly waves to Mac and approaches him quietly.
Mugman: "Hey, Mac? How was your work day? Was it a great day or not a great day?" "And I have some news, you know?" *He asks Mac some questions and also wants to talk about today's topic*
Mac: "A little tiring, but also a good pay, but also... what's this news you're so excited about?" *He answered Mugman's question and also asked what this news was that Mugman had always wanted to talk about*
Mugman: "I brought a new child and now... he's our new family... the child's name is Claus Richard, he's from an orphanage but he ran away because of abuse, and that's why I adopted this child..." *He explains about Claus Richard to Mac, wondering if Mac would accept this or not*
Mac: "Mugman... I didn't know you raised such an abused child, but... I accept taking this child and I'll take much better care of him..." *He then accepts, giving a much more animated smile and hugging Mugman, since now he will have to take care of Claus Richard*
Narrator: "Mugman is surprised by Mac's reaction, clearly he didn't know Mac would react like this." "But she also hugs Mac, resting her head on Mac's shoulder and closing her eyes so they can both stay embraced now."
