Funny thing that happened while I was photographing the seal is that when I went back onto the road to move locations this old guy walks up.

We talk for a bit and I show him the seal and the pictures i'd taken (He wouldn't even have noticed it was there if i hadn't told him)

We stand and watch it and suddenly he goes "Oh! Did you hear that? It's making noises!"

*Loud ass jigsaw noise from the house being refurbished nearby*

"Do you hear that!"

*More jigsaw noises*

Didn't have the heart to tell him

I wish the COVID deniers would talk to actual healthcare professionals who have had to work on the front lines of the pandemic. My sister-in-law was telling us about how she’s the one who fills out the death notices for her office (she works at a family clinic), and she’s had to really detach and try and just see them as numbers on a sheet because there are so many. Even so, you could tell how hard it had hit her having lost so many patients. 

But I guess regardless these people would probably just tell her they’re probably only old and/or fat people anyway, so it’s still not a big deal.
