5 useful tools to test your website
Last time I had some advises on how to build an awesome landing page and I’ll now give 5 cool web tools to test your website:
1 - GTmetrix.com: GTmetrix is a free tool that analyses your page's speed performance. Using Page Speed and YSlow, GTmetrix first generates a score for your page and then offers actionable recommendations on how to fix your website.
Why I like it: It is easy to understand and use. This tool gives you actionable items and prioritises them in order to make your website faster.
2 - Webpagetest.org: With Webpagetest, you can run a free website speed test, choosing a location from all around the globe, using the average connection speed we use at home. Afterwards you’ll get a detailed report to optimize your connection speed.
Why I like it: This website and GTmetrix complements one another. If you follow up with their recommendations, your website will be faster than Flash Gordon. And Flash Gordon is pretty fast! With webpagetest.org you can even choose the browser with which you want to test and the country you want to run the test from. It also gives you a video to see how your page loads during the test.
3 - Pagespeed Insight: The PageSpeed family of tools is designed to help you optimize the performance of your website. PageSpeed Insights products will help you identify the performance best practices that can be applied to your site, while PageSpeed optimization tools can help you automate the process.
Why I like it: It gives you advice for enhancing the user experience both on the computer and on mobile!
4 - Feedthebot google guide lines check: Determines if a website or blog is following several of the Google webmaster guidelines.
Why I like it: It does the job telling you what’s wrong but also, it explain you how to fix and give you documentation to learn more about each guideline.
5 - Feedthebot spider seo: With Feedthebot, you can learn more about your webpages on how Google processes your site. You can also track your redirects, keywords, page speed, title, description, links and more.
Why I like it: It gives you clues on the first step to follow, in order to improve your PageRank and make your website more visible on the web.
Fast and optimized pages lead to higher visitor engagement, retention, and conversions so feel free to use all these tools until you reach perfection.
I feel I have to share this with you, because:
