Today’s Flickr photo with the most hits was taken on June 5th, 2006 - in Yesilkoy, near Istanbul.
Peter and I had visited Istanbul and the battlefields of Gallipoli, then flown out to Cappadocia (from Sabiha Gokcen). We had a morning flight home, out of Istanbul Ataturk Airport, so we’d taken the bus transfer between the two on our return from Goreme, and stopped overnight near the airport. Here we are at breakfast: boiled egg, bread, cucumber, tomato, black olives, fruit, jams and honey, tea. The money to pay for it in the middle of the table. After that, a meander along the front and then off to the airport for the flight back to the UK.
