The city of Yessentuki is famous for its health resorts and mineral springs. The health resort specialises in treatment of patients with diseases of digestion organs. The design of building on the picture was inspired by ancient roman thermae, and it was decorated with Asclepius and Hygieia sculptures.

It is also considered the cultural capital of Russia's Greek population and even today close to ten percent of its population is of Greek descent.

Его величественная красота покорила не одно поколение отдыхающих, в том числе знаменитого режиссера Леонида Гайдая. Помните Кису Воробьянинова с его знаменитым «Мосье, же не манж па сис жур»?
