Chapter Excerpt:
…. the Kraang’s filthy pink tentacles would stretch across their skulls and begin to dig. Blood gushed out of ears and noses as the Kraang forced their way inside their minds, tunneling without care. The poor souls screamed, squirming as white-hot memories played on repeat, draining them until the last of love and care became swallowed by guilt and pain. Their eyes glossed over, emptying out the spark of a soul before their bodies finally fell limp.
“St-stop!” Donnie wailed, his heart banging against his ribs, throat bobbing as bile crept up his disconnected esophagus.
Then, the veins wriggled deeper into his own mind, curling around the shapes and feelings of everyone he had ever loved enough to put a titanium tracker on. His throat ran raw as his chest heaved out of control, and his muscles tensed against the restraining vines.
He could feel them, wanting to know his most precious memories, needing to collect data from his very brain.
“N-no! Ge-get away… GET AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!”
