What’s the lie your character says most often?
How loosely or strictly do they use the word ‘friend’?
Weirdly specific but helpful character building questions [NOT accepting]
. Hook lies A LOT, if only to get what he wants from people he would otherwise see as pawns in his plans, but he never breaks his word, which is cool. 'I will not harm a single hair on peter pan's head' *takes out single hair* 'THIS IS THE ONE I WON'T HARM!' Also the whole 'I would lay a hand or hook on his head' so he drops a stinking BOMB into his house.
But perhaps the lie he tells the most is to his crew, which is a little white lie perhaps. That they will return to sea to plunder and steal and take treasure as pirates again... Because he is unsure if he can keep doing that whilst Pan is alive.
. Throughout the films, he doesn't use the term 'friend' once, not even for Mr Smee. I doubt he would consider his crew his friends, they are people that work for him, despite him watching a lot of them grow up under his command.
He would use it lightly perhaps at first if the occasion calls for it, a fake politeness as it will, until it could actually develop into friendship.
