Developing the nothing-is-going-to-stop-me attitude
What’s stopping you?
No, I mean, what’s really stopping you?
Yeah, its YOU!
Muhammad Ali once said, “It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe”
Humans are like excuse banks. If our nervous system knows it’s going to cause pain; without making a conscious effort, we will most definitely come up with an excuse to stay within our comfort zone. We often sabotage our own success and stop ourselves from achieving what we truly want. Is it because we are afraid to succeed?
For what its worth, I think we like having the pebble in our shoe – many of us are very attached to the problems we have. They give us a sense of connection with ourselves and make life seem a little more difficult than it really ought to be. What’s true is that problems are inevitable – they happen to all of us, all the time – its how we deal with them that really matters.
So, when you develop the nothing-is-going-to-stop-me attitude, really, you’re saying yes to opportunity, you’re saying yes to chances, you’re saying yes to embrace risk. And, its only when you say YES when you start living life. It is only when you start saying #nothingisgoingtostopme when life truly hugs you back. Then, YOU become in charge – and the choice of keeping the pebble in your pocket rather than your shoe – is all your choice
I’d love to hear from you: What decision are you finally going to make? What pebble are you willing to remove from your shoe? What are you not going to allow any more?
