You wanted meta about the curtain scene? Well here: Izzy enters the scene after Stede laments that his muse has forsaken him. Stede is asking for his muse, and Izzy shows up. And then they have their little discussion and Izzy leans on the curtain and inspires Stede's fuckery.
Izzy is literally Stede's muse.
(this could devolve into a further discussion about Izzy inspiring Stede's actions in general throughout the show, but I don't have the time or effort to tackle that and i've lowkey addressed it in my pinned post so...)
