Meredith knew better --- she shouldn’t have come alone. She should have made sure that someone knew where she was.
There was a vampire loose.
But this was Blair. This was the one member of her family who hadn’t actively stuck her nose in all of this and still ended up hurt. Meredith was near sick with fear that she wouldn’t make it to her in time. So she didn’t think. She just acted, grabbing her keys and breaking at least four traffic laws to get to the trail that lead to the falls.
From there it was on foot. Meredith picked her way through the woods, ignoring any scratches and scrapes. She grew quiet however as she neared the falls, her hand gripped around the bottle of vervain she had swiped from the dash of her car. If she came face to face with the vampire, he was going to find himself in pain (if she was quick enough, but of course she didn’t think of that).
She took a deep breath, quelled her immediate fear and focused on Blair. “Blair? Baby, I’m here...where are you?”
