#fallinloveyogachallenge Day 3 & Day 4 Couldn’t get on my mat yesterday so I had to incorporate both into today’s practice . Day 3: Bow pose, this pose isn’t tough for me but it sure isn’t easy. I do not have a lot of range of motion in my hips so I can’t get my legs to come off the floor very much (although when I’m in it I feel like they are, that’s why cameras are good 😉). My lumbar spine is really flexible so I make up what I lose in my legs there for this pose. . Day 4: Dancers pose is fun. It works on balance but it’s also fun to try. It gives me the same trouble as bow pose in the hips and I find it’s easy to get twisted up. Since I like angles I try to think about what my joints are doing and what angle I should be creating in those spots. I also try to reach out in as many directions as possible while also keeping my trunk tight. In yoga opposing actions help us to keep our bodies safe from injury and dancers pose is a great place to think about that. You can really feel what you need to do in order to be strong in the pose. .
