—— ✦ @YEUNMINSU
NOT ALL WEAPONS ARE SHARP and smiles can be just as l e t h a l , he has perfected his weapon of choice , what starts off as a simple need to mold himself into what o t h e r s want in order to be acknowledged turns into a g a m e to him ; he cares little for what others think of him now , but he has an understanding of the way people’s minds work and in order to get the most out of p e o p l e he plays any role needed . the smile he wears falls off his face after he gets what he wants , a short wave to the hellcat tasked with guarding the so - called J U D A S . it’s replaced with concern , tentatively approaching the younger boy . “ minsu ? ”
there isn’t a p i e c e of him that particularly cares , if anything he is amused by YEUN M I N S U ’ S ongoing turmoil , but more than anything he’s a n n o y e d . “ i told eunjung i ’ d watch you for a bit , ” understanding reads his expression , brows knitted in a false worry , “ but p l e a s e don ’ t consider me a watchdog , i think it’s ridiculous they ’ re treating you this way . you were just trying to help a friend , right ? i ’ m on your side . ” it’s not ridiculous , remove the sentiment and personal feelings and all that is seen is someone attempting to help an e n e m y .
“ i could take you to see him , ” that is not a lie , but his words are not sincere , he’s out for a glimmer of h o p e to shine in the boy’s eyes , and if it does he c r u s h e s it with his next sentence , sighing as if he’s frustrated with his own shortcomings . “ or . . . i w o u l d , but i ’ m not that brave . . . i ’ m sorry . ” not at all , but he’s never had trouble faking sympathy . taking a seat in a chair , he fixes worried eyes on a fellow brawler , eyes n a r r o w e d just a bit . it’s what he’s here for , a question he has due to w h i s p e r s . “ i heard something interesting , ” he is careful with his tone , “ it ’ s none of my business , but are you going to stop fighting ? ” there isn’t an ounce of him that does not think minsu is a good fighter ; t a l e n t is written in the definition of his muscles , but preserving a fellow fighter’s drive for the sake of not losing a g o o d fighter is not his purpose , he just can’t stand when people o v e r r e a c t . he doesn’t understand the entire situation revolving aroun the king’s fighter —— he doesn’t care —— but he h a t e s when people are persuaded by the circumstances revolving around someone else . it’s pathetic to throw something away because someone else lost . “ don ’ t make decisions so hastily , think about it . . . ”
