Crossfire | Yoongi & Yezi
Yoongi lowered his bow with a huff, glaring at the target across the clearing. He had been trying to hit it for the last ten minutes, but some big, stupid bird kept insistently getting in the way of his shot. It was almost like the damn thing wanted him to shoot it. He paused a moment to take a drink and check his phone, and when he looked up again, he did not see the bird. He figured he better take the chance while he had it.
“Finally,” he murmured, raising his bow again and taking aim. He was just releasing the arrow when the bird came swooping in again, making him curse. At the last possible second, he moved his bow a smidgen upward so that the arrow just missed the animal. “Does this thing have a death wish?” He growled to himself, walking over to the tree to pull his arrow out of the bark.
Nearly being shot seemed to have scared the large bird off, though, because when he took a glance around he did not see it anywhere. All the better. Of course, he felt bad about it, but he could not feel too much guilt over scaring a bird that did not have the sense to fly away from someone shooting in the forest. Every other animal with a brain knew to clear the area when he started shooting.
He was just getting ready to actually begin target practice when he heard what sounded like footsteps in the underbrush. Great, another interruption. He set down his bow with a sigh, waiting for whoever it was to step out of the trees.
