okay so after some research, there have been some teachers who have gone and taught english in korea and they didn’t really have a good grasp on the language beforehand? which is totally fine, as for an english class the general set of goals here are that you learn to think AND communicate in english, in order to be totally immersed in the language. it’d definitely be very helpful if they did at the very least have a basic grasp on and / or understand korean so that they can help out the few students that may not be familiar with english at all. but we imagine that those who are in charge of hiring staff at sunhwa probaly would like it if you at the very least understand korean, but wouldn't care all that much when obviously your teaching credentials and whatnot is the main focus for them. so yeah, it’d definitely be something cool to explore, the whole language barrier / looking into a culture with a new pair of eyes thing, which we’d love to see get fleshed out through your muse!
