For yfbfbf, I'm really curious on what reiners upbringing was like.. I mean, he came back early for Christmas even though he really loves his family so I'm thinking maybe Karina is the reason? Maybe she expects him to make a name of himself and that's why he works so hard and maybe doesn't feel like he's preforming as well as she wants him to which is why he avoids conversing with her? Or maybe something happened in libero and he just doesn't like being there?? Idk but something is up and I'm hoping he opens up and they can bond over their mommy issues ❤️ #romantic

I wanted to say that I’ve read quite a few fanfics about Reiner lately, and with no disrespect intended toward the other authors - yours holds a special place in my heart. There is something truly alive about it that makes you love and empathize with the characters. At first, I was only interested because of Reiner, but I gradually grew to love all the other characters as well. I cried when Eren gave his friends those photos for Christmas, it was so touching. I love how you portrayed Eren - bold on the outside but soft on the inside. I’m not particularly fond of the canonical Eren, but your Eren evokes the warmest feelings in me. I also love how human and thoughtful the main character is, what a good friend she is, and how lucky she is to have such friends. Unfortunately, I didn't have an exciting student life, and I always dreamed of having a close-knit group of friends and reading your story, I find myself naturally immersed in that atmosphere and feeling like part of their circle. What makes this fanfic special is that it’s not just about a romantic relationship, but also about something truly warm and heartfelt. I’m sure you’re a good person yourself, and that shines through in your story. I absolutely love this fanfic and you! ❤️

and i'm so happy you feel that way about all the other characters ❤️ i very much try to stay true to their experiences in the show (except more modern and much more reasonable LOL), and at his core, everything else aside, i think eren is someone who cares so deeply for the people he loves. you're spot on with the hard outer shell but being a softie on the inside-- that's exactly how i see his character, although maybe that's just me 😂

and thank you so much for saying that about reader, it truly makes my lil heart flutter when you guys like her 😭😭 when i started writing her, i def wanted a change of pace, and i wanted her to be thoughtful and someone who would go to the ends of the earth to make the people she loves happy, but also not without her own flaws!

and i can totally relate to the friend group thing-- i felt so out of place in school and all i wanted was friends that cared about me as much as i cared about them! it took a lot of trial and error, and it certainly wasn't as seamless as it is in the fic, but i think i've found a great group in my years of adulthood after college :) and if you haven't found that yet, it will absolutely come to you!! and i hope it does soon ❤️❤️

an important lesson i learned and one i hope comes across in yfbfbf, or at least it will eventually: misunderstandings happen, but real friends will always prove that they care about you!!

You wanted to feed us, Consider me well and truly STUFFED!

I have been so crazy about this fic since 2023 and I have imagined 1001 ways New Years could have gone and yet you always find a way to surprise me! I have praised it before but the way you flesh out the wider relationships and characters is so wonderful and enjoyable, it’s so fun and I feel so absorbed in the world of this fic. I have had thoughts about this chapter knocking around in my head since the last upload and it’s just so magical to finally get to read it 🥹 and to know there’s more on the way!!!!

I literally had to read everything from when Reiner sat down with my hand covering the screen so I couldn’t risk my eyes flitting down to see a single sentence or word before I actually reached it, my breath was HELD. Reiner is so soft and I’m so glad we got to see a little more of the Porco aftermath and his contrast to his interactions with Reader. We have so much more of him being down bad to come 🥳

So excited for:

- Mina’s upcoming outburst / reveal that Jean hasn’t been truthful with her and how this will fall back on Jean, Reader, and a frustrated (and after that ending, potentially even MORE protective) Reiner.

- Reader realising she’s walked straight back into the party in Reiner’s jacket 👀 not at allll likely to arouse suspicion amongst partygoers….

- Whether or not Mikasa found herself a new years kiss 😌

- ((Maybe a background Armin and Annie interaction…. All the love for bertholdt but just curious as to how that crush plays out ahaha))

- Reader & Reiner’s next moments post-party alone together & how they take their next steps. Close to tears just thinking about them learning to accept the love they DESERVE and doing it together.

- Learning more about Reiner’s backstory and maybe some of his perspective from previous chapters!!!! The way he made his move with the tradition callback has me itching to read the last 4-5 chapters again to see just where his head has been at for the last in-fic week since the mistletoe incident !!! I can only imagine he took that as his moment to decide he had to do something - and maybe had a chance! - and has been trying to test the waters with reader ever since to make sure he wouldn’t be ruining anything. Man has probably been giddy as fuck. Also curious if Porco sped up the process. I can’t WAIT to reread with this lens ahaha

There’s never enough words to express my feelings towards this story. It’s the most insane I’ve been about anything for a long time and I really feel like I’ve grown alongside it over the last couple years. Thank you for it and long may your health & wellness & adoration for Reiner Braun continue xxx

i totally get what you mean about growing alongside the story! i've felt the exact same way!! that's why i'm intentionally vague about how old the characters are, i started it when i was almost 23 and now i'm 26...LOL but i wanted it to just encapsulate that mid 20s feeling that we are all somehow magically connected by <3

but yes LOTS more to come that i'm looking forward to sharing with you guys :) i can't wait for you to see where things go and i always love hearing what YOU are excited for!
