I assume you mean GD’s Tattoo confession, right? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I couldn’t spot another recent confession that had the word black in it.
The confesser most likely means this tattoo, before the army it looked like this:
A little bit of information for the heart tattoo as it’s has a quite powerful meaning behind it. It was designed by the famous American artist Keith Haringthe and symbolizes Opposition to homophobia, nuclear warfare, racism, and Support for social activism.
In other words, it’s similar like the rainbow flag but not exclusive to sexuality and gender identification, but that part probably was the problem with this tattoo, as the military is against same-sex relationships as gay man are not allowed to serve. Hence it can’t be worn in the military because it promotes something they are strictly against. Therefore Jiyong had to cover it up previous to his military enlistment, it now looks like this:
Bottom line: OP was sad not because he covered it up, people can change their opinion on their own tattoo’s but rather because he was basically “forced” to do so, and it made OP sad because of the message this tattoo has and meaning it probably has to him, or else he wouldn’t have got it in the first place.
