Fun fact about the original painting this frame is based on btw (because I’m a huge fucking nerd about The Black Paintings and seeing them in Madrid is on my bucket list): “Saturn Devouring His Son” was discovered post mortem in Francisco Goya’s home, painted directly onto the wall with no attributed name, as were the rest of the Black Paintings.
