last movie: it was either The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity (visually stunning, extremely gay, badly-paced plot. would recommend for basically anyone following this blog...we know what we like) or Space Sweepers (warm fuzzy found family feels, hand-wavey world-building and plot with my FAVORITE type of depiction of the multi-lingual future, solidly tropey characterization. would recommend if you love space, freedom fighters, found family, crying, and/or are gay) but i can't remember which
currently watching: tried watching Addicted (the show that went Too Gay and got pulled from the Chinese internet in 2016, often characterized as the reason bl dramas are now censored even on streaming platforms) but it was horrifyingly bad in multiple ways even though i already liked the actors from other things (um. stalking. assault. and more. characterized as romantic??), now watching Guardian which is so far just sort of pleasantly bonkers. most recently finished Douluo Continent (video game-style fun with a super lovable cast that ends up holding it all together) and Lupin (absolutely fucking wonderful French show on Netflix starring the supremely lovable Omar Sy)
currently reading: rereading the Grishaverse novels because of all the stuff coming out soon and continuing my quarantine shakespeare comfort reread when i feel like it. but lbr mostly fanfic. i have not been in the headspace for reading any new things unfortunately and it is Weighing On My Soul
