Yigal Ozeri Exhibition

Do you know Yigal Ozeri, Israeli artist based in New York?

HIs exhibition is held at Dakanyama Hillside Terrace in Japan for the first time.His artworks is well known for super realistic portraits,He is the pioneer of “photorealism”  and his works can’t be recognized as painting but photo.

When it coms to photorealism, it reminds me of “Benefits Supervisor Sleeping”.It is a 1995 oil painting by Lucian Freud,(He is the grandson of psychologist Freud!).  The works was known as super-reality painting, and sold on historical price over £35 million.

Realistic art was substituted for the symbol of power.Many of aristocracy make artists draw their portraits.

Now, where does photorealism will go to?Surely, many of Japanese guest in this exhibition was surprised in his fantastic technic.

The campaign or poster already answered that it isn’t photo but painting,subtitle “Beyond Photography-Hyperrealistic Painting”.However,I think, the moment that he or she realize really it isn’t photo, has the power beyond the photo.

When his exhibition is held in Japan next time,I would like people to feel the moment.Anyway, the exhibition was great why don’t you see it.The exhibition was held by Feb 4 2017.
