>>> ❤️ News from Yim – the screenwriter of the stories "Code Blue" and "Through Storm and Flame"
This year has been especially challenging. Most of the changes were beneficial and necessary, but they also had their consequences. I moved to a place with better chances to build my future, but in many ways, I have to start from scratch. Here are a few examples: learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, and finding friends and connections.
I would love to talk about the wonderful city I now call home, about discoveries, and so on... but given the current state of the world, it seems unwise to do so.
And yet, once again, I am trying to get out of "survival mode," standing on my feet again and gradually getting rid of some of the strongest stressors. Right now, I am focused on improving my daily routine, which is usually the first thing to suffer when life becomes hectic or anxious. It's time to take care of everyday tasks to make room for, let's say, creativity. This goes beyond logistics and meeting physical needs. In my case, the uncertainty that has prevailed over the past few months, all this anxiety and unknown, must be overcome before it becomes habitual and tolerable.
After so many years, overcoming one obstacle after another in a world where the attention economy is based on fear, it’s easy to forget that you need not only to survive but to live your life.
