Okay so every time I click my dash button, I'm scrolling two inches and seeing something about Doctor Who that seems so spoilery that I'm like "abort abort!" so gonna get off tumblr long enough to watch if I can find.
Then I will be back and I think I was to try to write some tonight if I don't have another emotional crash. I'm not sure what fandom I wanna write yet, but the contenders are probably: Young Justice, Narnia, Skyrim*, The Flash, MCU stuff if it is related to someone in the networks I'm in OR AOS pre-S2, and maybe Doctor Who but I'm terrified.
*I've been kind of occasionally thinking about writing my headcanon narrative for my character as a story, but I'm probably much too lazy. But like I checked and absolutely no one on AO3 has written about my character's spouse and I am attached to my character's story in my head so maybe.
So if anyone has short prompts or just one or two words or phrases they'd like to send me as starters I'd like it? I'm rusty so flexibility is good.
Here, how's this? One thing I've really wanted to try.
Send me a quote (general or a specific one from a book/movie/etc.) and a person (who is not the original speaker) or set of people (ship, group, etc.) to have say it in a short ficlet, and I'll see what I come up with.
Please?

I'm hosting a CAH game to get away from how much tumblr sucks right now. Details and password at post above to keep from clogging the network tags.
I am tentatively looking for a beta for a Young Justice fic I'm working on. I was considering entering a big bang with it because I think that reasonably I'm probably under 10% finished with it, but I think I might forego that since I would kind of like to get in a position to post in installments. However, I want to have the finished product ready before I begin posting chapters.
I'm standing at about 6k right now, but I don't know how long it's going to get. My hope is that it will be the start of a series of interconnected stories of varying length, but this is just a chapter fic I'm working up.
Without giving a lot of things away, the central, focal character is Artemis, and it will involve multishipping and complicated relationships and that kind of thing. If you're interested in my shipping preferences, you may have a look around my blog and find my ships page, but if you don't care one way or the other about ships then that's cool, too.
I'm just looking for an understanding and flexible person who would enjoy being a beta. I'm pretty good with grammar and spelling, but I'm looking to correct those kinds of oversights in addition to having suggestions about tone and flow from a second pair of eyes. I prefer that you know the fandom and care about it, but if you're just into betaing and reading in general and don't have a particular investment in it, I'm at least willing to talk to you.
Thank you so much for anyone who is interested.
I'm like 4k into the Young Justice fic and think maybe on chapter two? And I think about it a lot. It feels good to be doing it, but lol what is pacing???
Forgive the really basic graphic, but it's the content of this post that matters. A little while back, I posted an anonymous (for my respondents) survey about the pacing and timing of a Young Justice rewatch. I'm the mod of the Young Justice Network (details about joining in the currently pretty sparse #yjnet tag), a network which I hope will spur on continued interest and active appreciation for our too young to die show. The results of my survey were overwhelmingly in favor of an October start date for the rewatch. However, I did have one participant who was interested but indicated that they wouldn't really have time until sometime around December holidays. Trying to accommodate everyone as best I can, I am going to give some optional scheduling ideas below and some tagging rules for the #yjrewatch14 tag which any and all interested parties should track. The rewatch will run into January but that's okay. Basically, this rewatch will be informal and whatever you want to make of it, but I would love to see it draw in some new fans and to give quiet fans the opportunity to be vocal in whatever ways they like. You absolutely don't have to be a member of the Young Justice Network to participate (but members can use the network tag additionally).

✕ the pacing of this rewatch will be about three episodes per week ✕ it is completely fine if you cannot keep this pace or prefer another faster/slower one - the tagging system will take care of this for you ✕ new watching cycles run from Wednesday to Tuesday so as to not overlap with the comic or movie release days every week but to completely encompass weekends for people who can only participate on them (also because the first day of October is Wednesday, shh) ✕ if you like to make edits, write fic, or do other kinds of response, you are encouraged to use the #yjrewatch14 tag in addition to any others you choose ✕ even if you don't make stuff, don't keep quiet! it's fine to just watch if that's all you're comfortable with, but i intend to write something in response to my thoughts and feelings for most episodes - you should too, in whatever format you want. write essays. babble. do bullet points. be incoherent, be scholarly. just talk to us! ✕ i just finished reading the tie-in comic. you don't have to know anything about it to watch, but i thought i'd mention that you can talk about that here, too. ✕ please consider reblogging this post if you have any interest in participating. liking is good, too, but not everyone checks all the same tags. spreading the word will make this more fun. ✕ seeing this and don't know what young justice is? then this is also for you! if you like superheroes and are even moderately curious, check it out.
T A G G I N G R U L E S
These are important and pretty easy, just keep this post for reference if you need. It's intended to help people avoid spoilers if they use blacklist or find what's relevant to the episode they're watching. I'm trying to make it shorthand and easy for you!
✕ always tag #yjrewatch14 ✕ i can't imagine why you'd need to, but if in any discussion you mention something that tends to be squicky for people in a way blacklist isn't likely to pick up, tag it - just be nice ✕ please tag the episode your post pertains in the following format if it contains significant plot discussion or what might be considered 'major spoilers' (use your own judgment and be fair just in case we pick up new people): (season#)(episode#with0ifsingledigit) So Season 1, Episode 1 would look like: #101 And Season 2, Episode 20 would look like: #220 you do not have to do this for everything, but just for major plot details, please. goes for graphics or discussion. ✕ of course you can avoid spoilers by not checking the tag until you're caught up with the schedule below, but if you want to use blacklist vigilantly, you can just blacklist the particular number(s) for the episodes you don't want to be spoiled for yet. might take five minutes to set up, and as you go you can show the posts and remove the numbers from your blacklist. to be honest, i doubt anyone needs to do this but if you want to i wanted something to be in place!
flex-schedule and how-to-watch under the readmore for length.
I just finished the YJ comic and I am taking it in and preparing my fic-writing fingers. But first I have a stupid number of dishes to wash. Still absorbing my thoughts about it, and I'm kind of grieving about the fact that I don't have anymore. But yay I have all my information now.
