Liam is dead
Send “____ is dead” for my muse’s reaction to that character dying.
It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair!
He was ripped away from her. Her child. Her son. He was gone. It wasn’t fair. He didn’t deserve that. He didn’t deserve this.
And, somehow, Chloe couldn’t help but blame herself. Had she brought this upon them? Had she, in thinking she was keeping him safe, actually brought him into the light of danger?
Tears flowed and a wail had come from her lips. Chloe wanted to scream. She wanted to scream and cry until her voice processors burnt out, until she couldn’t make a sound anymore.
It felt as if a piece of her had been torn out. Her biocomponents, her wires, her thirium pump… her heart, gone. She felt empty. Eventually she stopped crying, though her eyes seemed to perpetually be watery and ready to spill tears.
She spent days locked away. Days in bed, curled up with Bear. She didn’t leave her side. It wasn’t clear who was in more pain, but they comforted each other. The others rarely entered the room. Carlin and Claire peeked in every so often. Penny entered and cuddled between Chloe and Bear. Elijah wasn’t allowed inside.
The house became quiet and dreary, like a storm cloud had enveloped the house.
It wasn’t fair. He was just a boy. He was her son. She would give anything to have him back, even if it meant taking his place.
