why do ants try to come indoors? is there something we can put outside like food or water that will keep them happy out there? they're getting really insistent about coming to our kitchen sink and i really don't like putting out poison, but it's so hard to find any information about alternatives. obv it's ok if you don't know but i wondered if someone who follows might have advice!
If they're showing up at your sink they may be looking for water. You could try putting out shallow dishes of water with pebbles in them so they can drink without falling in and drowning.
I would not ever put out any sort of food, because that will just attract more ants and possibly other pests.
There are also some essential oils that apparently repel ants, but I've never used them myself, so I can't speak for their efficacy. But you could always look into it as an alternative to poisons.
