MARRIED GAY GAY HOMOSEXUAL
DURING PRIDE MONTH
MR SHERLOC SCOTT HOLMES YOU HOMOSEXUAL
My yearly mtp brainworm has come back to bite me so in celebration I drew sherliam how i think they would've looked just chillin in ny. also sherly looks very good in a longer coat (this probably isnt historically accurate whatsoever but silly lil guys transcend time)
Sometimes I think of Moriarty the patriot and how Sherlock practically immediately guessed Liam was the lord of crime and just started blushing, kicking his feet and twirling his hair. So funny.
And Liam also kinda did that... I love them
Interesting...
When the leads think you're "Interesting", you know you're cooked. Continuation of "How I Got Sent to Another World" and "Truck-kun Did It"
A/N: Late Happy 10th Anniversary to Moriarty the Patriot! Tag/s: Fem!Modern!Asian!Reader
You took a small breath as you shakily took the tea, giving it a small sniff just to make sure there was nothing inside before taking a tentative sip.
William’s polite smile turned into an amused smirk for a split second before returning to his usual perfect noble persona.
“I see you are the wary type as well,” he mused, making you breathe out a dry chuckle,
“Well, you can’t be too cautious when receiving a drink from a stranger,” you replied, now taking a full sip, more relaxed than earlier but still avoiding his gaze, earning a small chuckle from him.
“Of course. You cannot fault someone for exercising self-preservation,” he reassured, taking a sip from his own cup as well,
“Now… about your work?” he reminded, making you slightly flinch, his scarlet eyes never leaving your form for too long. “I am quite curious to see what company would have female workers dress up in your attire.”
“… It’s not in England.”
“And yet you are in London?”
“I… I’m on a business trip!”
“Is that the reason why we found you sporting a dirty cloak, starving on the edge of the street?”
You flinched at his question, knowing there was no way out now as you looked away, only seeing either ending up in a mental hospital or dying one way or another as William kept his polite smile.
Taking a shaky deep breath, you forced yourself to meet William’s gaze, making the man slightly raise his brow.
“I was on my way home when I found myself here,” you confessed, knowing there was no way to reason what happened to you or know how you actually ended up here.
“I was walking home, hungry and tired. All I remember is I was shoved to the street and found myself here,” you sighed, now just waiting for whatever conclusion or plan the Lord of Crime had after hearing it.
William, hearing your confession and seeing no sign of deception, crossed his legs as he placed his hand over his chin, letting out a small hum.
“… It must have been frightening, suddenly finding yourself somewhere you don’t recognize,” William replied sympathetically as he knocked on the carriage ceiling twice, as if signaling Fred as the carriage suddenly changed routes.
You slightly leaned to the side at the sudden turn, eyes wide in surprise and confusion as you glanced between the windows and William, completely lost on what the man had planned.
“Y-Yes… I guess?” you murmured as he kept his polite, enigmatic smile,
“Considering your situation, it might be best if you blend in for now to avoid suspicion,” he explained as he grabbed a box from under the seat, opening it to show a cape with a hood, giving it to you.
“For now, we can buy you a new wardrobe and other necessities you might require while figuring out your situation,” he continued as you confusedly put on the cape, tugging on the hood just enough to hide your face,
“You’re helping me?” you bluntly asked, making William slightly pause, giving you an innocent smile,
“Of course, I did tell you we were here to help,” he replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, making you freeze.
You opened your mouth to retort, still kind of lost, but decided it was better to just let it be rather than question the genius mathematician, the anxiety slowly leaving your body as you practically turned into a puddle.
As William advised, he brought you to a department store with Bonde and Moneypenny waiting by the entrance to help you pick out dresses and outfits and blend in with Victorian society.
Luckily, only Moneypenny stayed by your side as she helped you pick out some underwear, making you do a double-take as you noticed the majority of them reflected more modern clothing than the Victorian ones you knew in movies, with the same designs “Irene Adler” had when Sherlock and John Watson had visited her home.
You opened your mouth to ask, but decided not to question it in the end, hoping some “modern inventions” were also present in this world… such as indoor plumbing.
As you finished changing into a newly bought dress, your hair done up and makeup hiding your features enough to pass as an English woman, you couldn’t help but tug slightly at the neckline, not used to wearing a corset.
‘At least it straightens the back…’ you softly sighed, looking around to find your companions,
“Oi, lady!” a voice called out, making you turn around and see a boy with messy brown hair and matching eyes, wearing a light blue button-up shirt with a dark gray waistcoat and trousers.
You raised a brow at the boy, feeling that he was familiar as he walked up to you with a bored look, showing you a familiar backpack,
“Is this yours?” he asked monotonously, making you softly gasp as you realized that it was your work bag,
“Y-Yes! Thank you-” as you reached out to grab it, the boy immediately pulled it back, stretching out his other hand, asking for compensation,
You breathed out a small, amused smirk as you looked over to the purse William gave you as an allowance of some sort, giving some money to the boy,
“Here. Thank you for-” you paused as you realized who the boy was, Wiggins, of the Baker Street Irregulars.
Before you could react, he took the compensation and gave you your bag, making you immediately lunge to catch it, fearing he would break your laptop or phone.
“H-Hey!” you scolded the boy, but Wiggins immediately left, then was followed by the other kids, making you sigh.
“Seriously… What the hell is going on?” you grumbled with a sigh, looking down at your bag, making sure nothing was broken,
“…How did that kid even get this?”

“Did you find her?”
“Of course we did. What do you take us for?” Wiggins retorted to Sherlock, his eyes following you as you went inside a coffee shop, hugging your bag close to your chest.
“But what for? Nothing was interesting in that bag. Just a bunch of weird junk,”
“You say that, but that lady seemed pretty keen on protecting it,” Sherlock pointed out, recalling how you practically dove to protect it from the ground, breathing out the smoke from his cigarette, his sharp blue eyes following your silhouette, breathing out a smirk,
“Whoever this lady is, she is far from ordinary.”

I was rewatching 'Study in S' and realised that Sherlock's pistol was new at that point in the story, which is beautiful on both plot and metaphorical levels, so it inspired me to write an overall analysis of the pistol's role in manga and adaptations!
Pistols in Moriarty the Patriot — props for villainy
A pistol has several meanings in mtp, and I will discuss all of the potential readings, case by case. However, one stays true: a gun is nearly always a prop for villainy, not a tool. What I mean by it is:
We barely see actual gun killings in the series – the only exception being Milverton’s death;
Guns are a part of the characters' image whenever they are supposed to be a villain, as if props help to identify their role in the story.
For example, Liam is holding a gun on the cover of the first volume because he plays the role of villain for us, for the Londoners, for Sherlock. However, is he a true villain in nature – an evil person with bad intentions? A gun can point to someone who takes on the role of the villain, but barely to an actual vicious person.
Who fell first, who fell harder?
William fell first / Sherlock fell harder
Sherlock fell first / William fell harder
William fell first and harder
Sherlock fell first and harder
I'm a Willliam fell first, and Sherlock fell (a bit) harder person myself, at least based on what was shown in the anime finale. Sherlock finding the letter, that letter itself making me feel like Will developed an interest first. Then Sherlock literally falling harder when he jumps off that bridge to save him :P
My HC is def in the minority. Maybe I need to rewatch/reread it's been a hot minute
ETA: Ain't no way it ended in a tie with Sherlock and William both falln first and harder 🤣
