I wouldn't say I'm a lapsed anarchist. I still accept the basic worldview--I believe that the state should be smashed, I believe we answer to no gods and no masters, yada yada--but I'm not, y'know, actively participating in mutual aid. The working class hasn't had revolutionary consciousness for, like, countless aeons, the insurrection probably isn't happening in my lifetime. I doubt giving up my Friday afternoons to do Food Not Bombs with a bunch of dumpster diving punks in a park is gonna bring about the rev any faster. I mean, if I ever have kids, I'll probably start going again, but that's more about teaching good morals. x
