Fun fact, I first wanted to draw her with 5 kinds of citruses but I realized the artwork would be a tad too monotone if I only drew citruses, so I replaced pomelo and tangerine by pineapple and canary melon. Get yalls vitamin C

Drawing Yobaii for Lunar New Year is going to become a new tradition of mine, it seems. I'm not sure what motivated me to draw a skeletal dragon but hey, it looked good.

Midnight strikes in France, and Artfight begins!

I underestimated the sheer amount of time I needed for the many uni projects I had to finish, but at last I'm free now!

Well... I still have one (1) commission to finish, but hey a bitch can celebrate Artfight beginning, featuring a lovely trailer with my beautiful bastards. Aren't they wonderful?

~ Lawless and isolated beast physician ~

Name: Yobaii Age: Unknown. Looks both as if she has lived for a very long time, and as if she were born a few weeks ago. Birthday: Unknown Gender: Female? (She/Her) Species: Beast Nationality: Unknown, supposedly Chinese. Abilities: Provoking hallucinations, better regenerative abilities than humans.

Unlike what one may think, an encounter with this particular beast doesn’t necessarily mean death. If one does not pick her interests in any way, she will most likely leave. Though monstrous appearances can be deceiving at times, it is still not advised to provoke her.

Her origins remain a mystery, to both herself and everybody else. Unlike other beasts, which possess only sentience, Yobaii possesses both sentience and sapience. She is very knowledgeable in everything related to medicine, and is skilled enough to perform surgical operations in case of emergency, even though her methods are questionable, to say the least.

Yobaii does not possess a moral compass, though that does not mean she is sadistic. She is ready to do anything if it benefits her, including hurting or even killing other people, but she will not do anything unnecessary. Her greatest wish is to learn what she is and where she comes from, and a clan of half-beasts might be the perfect place for her studies.

She lives in an abandoned hospital not too far from the city of Lyon where humans rarely wander, but she does sometimes sneak into the city to get materials, tools, and food. Her first meeting with the clan of Ethuline didn’t go smoothly, but perhaps, one day, they might find common ground and become allies.

Yobaii is a beast with sapience, making her more powerful and dangerous than most of her kind. However, like Kadelio, she doesn’t have that much experience in fighting. Her strong suit is medicine only.

Yobaii has the ability to make people hallucinate, which she can use to disguise herself and others so long as the number of people she is causing to hallucinate is reasonable (around ten at most). She doesn't see a need to use this power for other reasons, but is more than capable of doing so.

She possesses the regular regenerative abilities of beasts. It is not as powerful as Nora’s, as she might take a month to regrow a limb. A rather peculiar aspect of her regeneration is that she will never regrow her body the same as it was before. If her arm were to be ripped off, it could regrow as two arms, just like it could regrow as a stump. It is unknown what influences the regeneration, but her theory is that it depends on how healthy her habits are during the process.

Yobaii’s arms and legs leak a strange black goo, but for some reason, it always seems to go back to her, somehow. Because of the strange forms her limbs have, Yobaii has a bit of trouble using them. She cannot run due to her feet’s structure, which is why she often uses a wheelchair when in the hospital she resides in, as it’s a faster way to move around. Her normal arms being abnormally large, she prefers using her “string limbs”.

These “string limbs” are the limbs that come from her sides. The ends can change shape and harden at will, which makes them more suited for technical tasks. They cannot be retracted. Her back arms only have three fingers, and only serve to either attack what’s behind her, grab something like a sloth would, or look behind her thanks to the eyes on the back of her hands.

By far the most fun OC to draw. I love her she's my little skrunkly <3 So far, she's the most enigmatic character of the bunch. Whenever you think you've figured her out, she'll do something that will flip upside down your vision of her, for better or worse.
