Yoccin lives, and Chyrru has a new look!

Aspec Characters 7/10: Yoccin

Yoccin is a remorseless pirate and bounty hunter, with a lust for blood, and a passion for the hunt... at least at first glance.

During their college days, their lack of academic skill lead to them being harshly judged and dismissed by their peers, responding to their mockery with violence, and thus making the wall between them and themself even taller. A ‘conventionally smart’ classmate, Chyrru, who didn’t really seem to fear or scorn them at all, eventually sought them out, and become their best, and only friend. Chyrru and Yoccin are to be seen as queerplatonic partners, and even have a child together (result of an unprotected ‘experiment’ between them, oops).

Tragedy struck when the Inquest began messing with Chyrru’s mind, and turned them against Yoccin, shortly after their daughter, Sheasa was born. One thing came to another, Chyrru ended up on a lab table, and Yoccin was the only one to came for them, as everyone else’d given up on them as soon as they’d joined the Inquest. Butchering their way through the lab, Yoccin dragged them out, half dead and with irreparable damages to their body and mind. They gave their infant daughter to Yoccin’s older sister, Linni, and fled their home, both believing themself to be unable to care for a child.

For years, they’ve traveled, taking revenge on the Inquest by sabotaging and outright nuking their labs, living in a lawless “ You and I against the world” kind of way, until a near-death experience prompted Chyrru to come home, and meet their child. Yoccin, however, still struggles. Fear and guilt dominate them, and prevent them from finally making contact with their child.

They’re agender, and aroace.

GW2 80 Outfits: Neglected children with only one outfit so far, Edition I: Asura

1: Zowie. She’s the most spoiled of these brats, as in, I spent the most money on her, because of the T3 head, chest and legs. I might aspire to put the full T3 set on her... should I ever have the money for it. Her color scheme also changed, after mlgerik immediately associated her orange/red/yellow palette with...friggin doritos, on her 35 set.

2: Yoccin. My most recent 80. They’re wearing this Inquest-esque Outfit for undercover-fuck-shit-up-reasons, but grew attached to the colors. By which I mean, I can’t think of any other palette that might fit them. I will, eventually, for their fits alternative outfit.

3: Mimi. Oh, the painful hours in PvP i spent on the goddamn CoE reward track. I wanted to give her the Inquest chest for like, forever, plus all the golemancer runes. I’m GLAD this is over. Holy shit. Might rethink the Hellfire Gloves, I just put them on her when I got 3k Achievement Points, because I wanted to see how they look. Maybe Inquest Gloves? Hmm.

4: Chyrru. My baby. I fell in love with the cultural T2 legs and gloves when I put them on Chyrru for level 60, so naturally, i had to come up with an outfit to make them work on them. Like Yoccin, their colors were just plain Red/Black before, I’m glad I found an indivildual palette. Now i just gotta learn how to play GS-Shatter Mesmer...

5: Riaff Shrimp son and first 80 Asura. I got a bit lazy here and just slapped the Krytan Set onto him, because Pirate and stuff. His colors are pretty generic too... welp. I gotta work on him. He’ll keep some part of the Krytan Set though, because of Yarr.

Romantic headcanons/info bits

this is mainly brainstorming and putting ideas into words, so

- Though Variel only has romantic feelings for Delaine, a few months after getting involved in that very one sided affair, she started to have her own, strictly sexual relationships with other people as well. One of those ‘friends with benefits’ is Chyrru. Variel realized that she made Delaine her priority while only being an option to them, so initally, it was an attempt to make them jealous... guess how that worked out.

- Riaff ‘experimented’ a lot in his teens and early adulthood. He came to the conclusion that he’s attracted to everyone who identifies as female, while somehow kinda placing himself somewhere on the ace spectrum. Them Chyrru came along and made him question his orientation again. Currently, he has no friggin idea what his orientation is.

- Yulienni considers herself somewhat abnormal for solely being attracted to women, because Sylvari are default pansexual.

- Asha is bisexual, but excludes Charr and Asura from that. She’s also not polyamorous per se, because she usually only has one romantic partner, but several strictly sexual relationships. Yulienni is aware of that, by the way, and has no problem with it.

- Yoccin had a long and difficult time of self-discovery before identifying as asexual and aromantic.Their relationship to Chyrru wasn’t always as platonic as it is now - most of that experimenting happened with Chyrru (on a very non-awkward, equal base. It was basically “Hey, I’m kinda curious about that sex thing you do, wanna fuck?”). Right now, Yoccin is pretty confident of their orientation, or lack thereof, but they don’t hesitate to declare their love for Chyrru. Love doesn’t always have to be romantic or sexual, especially not for Yoccin. (However, they might be demiromantic)

- Mimi never really had a phase of self-discovery. She wasn’t raised by straight people, thus she never really saw straightness as “the norm”. Her fathers never hinted that they'd like her to marry a guy or have grandkids or anything, thus Mimi never had to come out as gay.

- Linni rarely lived her sexuality for herself, nor does she have any sort of private life, especially not after joining the Order of Whispers. Her romantic relationships are almost always related to her work or just another way of gathering information/manipulating her target. She doesn’t complain about it, but she does have that lingering feeling of missing out on something.
