Yoga Foster is a non-profit initiative that fosters creativity through the children's yoga practice. We aim to empower the yoga community with the tools and resources necessary for volunteers to start classes in NYC schools at no cost. We’ve been growing quickly, and want a fun, confident, social media intern to join our team!
As a social media intern for Yoga Foster you will be immersed in all of our social platforms with the goal spreading our message to influencers and supporters.
Monitor and manage our social accounts on Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook
· Maintain the account (have a continuous flow of relevant tweets)
· Help build and maintain a consistent brand message
· Build our community while reaching out to thought leaders
· Connect with potential teachers
· Manage blog posts (content /style)
· Engage and build Tumblr community that revolves around Yoga creativity and education
· Contribute posts (lightly)
· Curate and posting thoughts from teachers
· Share the best posts from the blog
· Promote events and ideas
· Build creative plan for growth
Students applying for this internship should have be a current college student with a strong interest in yoga or working with youth. They should be very comfortable using and preparing content for Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook. Applicants should also have understanding of crowdsourcing platforms such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo. Intern will work on their time from personal computer.
Experience working at a non-profit or teaching is a plus.
