I haven't talked about this topic so much until today, but I'm not only working as a yoga instructor, but researching about yoga as an internal medicine and rehabilitation at graduate school. When I had been suffering from liver disease, when I resumed yoga, my physical and mental health improved, so I wanted to know the reason, then I attended a teacher training course that was appropriate for comprehensively learning yoga. After graduating from the course, I never thought of becoming a yoga teacher, but the recommendation of best friends from high school paved the way. Ever since I decided to become a yoga teacher, I have always wanted to provide yoga not only to healthy people but also to the patients with liver disease based on my own experience. By warm understanding and cooperation of hepatologists and healthcare professionals, I fortunately had the opportunity to offer yoga at the patient associations. However, further scientific evidence was needed to provide yoga to more patients with liver disease. After years of looking for what and how to do it, my very wise, supportive boyfriend from Germany encourage me to take the first step in a study in medicine so I am be able to be here now. Actually I sometimes shed tears in the laboratory in the midnight because of learning an unknown area and my lack of ability, but with the kind support of many people around me, I finally get off to the start of the experiment. However, I am honestly uncertain about what will happen in the future because of the COVID-19. I don't know if I can complete the research that will be useful to anyone. It may be unnecessary research. But what is certain is I have the passion for helping the liver patients still now. And the more I researched, the more my passion spread to the patients with other diseases as well as liver ones. I've always thought that I've come this far through the encounter and support of everyone.
