fangirling just a little because kim accepted me into her guild on tera
my cousin likes watching flux buddies and he’s 7 so we bonded over yogscast but i couldnt help but laugh bc in a few years he’ll get that joke
but for now he is young and innocent and we talked about games for a while and he was glad i knew who kim and duncan were, like he was so excited.
I drew my own rendition of Mother
Lost in the Dark
Her eyes opened to...nothing. She blinked, twice, but there was no illusion, no clearing a dark haze over her eyes. She couldn't see anything. The silence surrounding her was just as overwhelming. "Duncan!" She screamed, the name tearing from her lungs. She pulled forwards, and found herself tied to something - chained, if the clanking was anything to go by - and only pulled harder. "Duncan! Help me!" When she stopped yelling, the world around her returned to complete still. When she stopped yelling, stopped pulling at the chains, it was as though she died. So she talked. "Okay, Kim." She said, like she spoke to a reflection of herself. "Something happened when the flux overpowered you, at that temple." She tried to remember what she'd been doing. "I was...no, we were...what were we doing?" But a fog had closed around her mind, slowing her from thought. "Have I been drugged?" She asked aloud. "There was a darkness...like this one, but it hurt..." She paused for a moment, letting a memory flood slowly into her mind. Let's go to the deep dark! "Duncan's idea. Is he here too? Or did he do this?" The darkness swirled around her, forming insubstantial shapes before fading away. "Duncan? Is that you? Show yourself!" The movement stopped, and Kim took a deep breath. "Okay. Think about this logically. You're chained to a cold - maybe stone - wall in an unknown location. This can't be the deep dark, or the darkness would be eating away at you right now." She felt a pressure in her skull lift; her mind was clearing? "I don't feel hungry thirsty, or need the loo, so I couldn't have been taken very long ago." She tried to think back, to before the darkness. Her head pounded. "We were exploring the Dark...Duncan was way behind, lighting everything up as he went...then there was..." Her brain wouldn't do it. There was a wall, something blocking the memory from her. The shadows moved again, swirling into a human figure. It laughed, deep and slow. She swung a leg out for it, and the form disintegrated for seconds, but back it came seconds later. Kim drew back, heart pounding in her chest. "What are you?" She whispered to the shape. She couldn't fight something insubstantial, she couldn't kill this. "What are you?" A light streaming from a window above her forced the shape back. It burned her eyes, and a wave of nausea passed over her. She rattled her chains, swinging them against the stone wall, and yelled at the top of her lungs; "Duncan! Duncan, is that you? I'm in here!" Then she heard a voice from just outside the window. "There's like a...thing, over here." Her heart stopped cold. That was her voice, just bricks away from where she stood. And she understood the silent warning her clone was giving her. Shut up the yelling, or we will hurt him. There was no doubt in her mind that Duncan was with it. "I don't care what you do to me, but if you hurt him, I swear to God I will rip your flesh from your bones." She muttered, hoping it got through to the window. "What is this, this is cool. It's like a Wizard's tower." And there he was. The curious dork was going to get himself killed. "Can you hear that banging coming from the inside?" Kim froze, seeing the shadow for just a second of herself streaming through the window. Yeah, the clone had heard her. And it did not think her a serious threat. "Yeah, let's check it out!" Please don't. Kim prayed silently. There's an ambush, or a trap or something. Don't come inside. "I don't think we should go in there." It answered with her tongue. Kim almost sighed with relief, which became a groan when she realised what the clone was doing. It was using Duncan's thirst for knowledge against him, trying to egg him into going inside by telling him that she wanted to go home. A dark haze descended over her once more, and her last thought was that the drug had to be in the air.
