[8:38pm] boyfriend! Yohan dares you to go through the haunted house with him unbothered, ultimately ruining himself as he screams and clings to your side the entire time
a/n: this is short bc it’s really just a concept and I didn’t have a plot-line for it because of that reason, but I hope you guys still like it!
His powers came to him randomly, of course, through a spider bite
As he was hanging out playing video games with his friends, the small spider bit his hand
Not strong enough for it to hurt or even for him to notice, but once he saw the small bug, he flicked it off his hand
And proceeded to joke with his friends that he’s gonna wake up with powers the next day
So, of course, it happens the next morning And he proceeds to panic when he wakes up stuck to his ceiling instead of lying in his bed
But naturally, Yohan adjusts to his situation quickly, figuring out how to shoot webs and properly swing within a week of his discovery
and given his ingrained skills in taekwondo, he doesn’t waste a second to put those skills and his new skills to use when necessary
Marking the beginning of Spider-Man, the vigilante that the police actually consider a good bystander and appreciate
You and Yohan have been friends for years
Along with Hangyul, making you three the town’s trio since you’re always seen together everywhere
Which is what caused some suspicion when Yohan would be gone for hours without texting you guys or would suddenly have to leave when you all finally got to meet up
You and Hangyul never questioned him, but it was still odd
Hangyul would always give theories to you, though
“What if he has a girlfriend?”
“Why wouldn’t he tell us?”
“I don’t know. Maybe he wants to surprise us?”
“...”
“Hmm...I got it. He’s Spider-Man.”
And then you’d both proceed to laugh before you’d joke again
“I’m more likely to believe that than the first thing you said”
Needless to say, neither of you were ready when you two showed up to his house and he was still wearing his Spider-Man mask
Yohan tried to keep his identity undercover, but that failed immediately when he somehow forgot to take it off when you guys came over to play video games (the usual)
Hangyul could only stare in shock while you asked all the questions
“Did it hurt when you turned?”
“No”
“And you’re actually the one stopping crimes around the city that we see on the breaking news all the time?”
“Yes”
“When were you planning on telling us?”
“Soon! I just didn’t know when you guys would be ready to hear it”
“Obviously we wouldn’t be ready either way, so I’m glad we found it out sooner than later” Hangyul piped up
“Plus, you kept disappearing and your excuses were getting kinda lame so we knew there had to be something going on” you said
“I was afraid that you both would get mad when I told you this was the reason why I was always gone...”
“We were more worried than mad, honestly” Hangyul said
“Yeah! Even the arcade attendant asked if you were doing okay each time you weren’t with us” you laughed, finally getting Yohan to crack a smile
“As long as you guys aren’t upset”
“No dude, this is the coolest thing thats ever happened in my timeline. How can I get powers too?” Hangyul asks
“All of mine just came from a spider bit”
“...you’re joking?”
Then Hangyul gives up, not pondering the thought anymore because of the odd probability that it’d ever happen to him
And so the next day when you guys don’t see Yohan in your first morning lecture, you text him
[text] be safe 👿
[text] Hangyul: yeah, and don’t forget we’re getting lunch at 1:00
[text] Yohan: shouldn’t you two be paying attention?
[text] Hangyul: DONT SWING AND TEXT
and later at 1:00, he arrives just in time, and (quietly) mentions what he did earlier
“This bird kept flying everywhere I went, too”
“What if the bird is like a secret spy or something?” Hangyul asks, trying not to laugh as he takes a sip of his drink
Yohan actually takes a moment to think about it, which makes you laugh instead
“You haven’t actually pissed off any evil villains yet, have you?” Hangyul asks, serious this time around
“I hope not!”
Of course, you have to step in and stop Hangyul from making Yohan panic
But he’s happy that the three of you can still have moments like this, despite his new title in the city
And you think hard about how careful you have to be now to not mention that your best friend is out there
Saving people and...stuff like that
Which makes you and Hangyul like parents towards him now
“We’re so proud of you” Hangyul would say, and you’d nod while smiling
“Okay, Mom and Dad”
“We’re serious!”
Of course, you both really were
Who wouldn’t be proud of their best friend doing literal hero things they’d always read about in comics?
And Yohan was more than happy to have you two supporting and looking out for him always, just as it was before
