Hii! I'm super curious about your pokemon tarot! I've seen a lil witch once on youtube talking about her own and I understand the theory of it but how does it actually work? Do you use types as elements perhaps? What can you tell me about it? 👀🧡

Absolutely! I read my Pokemon cards more like oracle cards, I suppose, having their own meaning separate from the traditional tarot. I use select cards from my childhood collection, when I was a huge Pokenerd, because I still remember a lot of facts and stories about the pokemon. I essentially use these, the movesets, and the pokedex description on the card to read the vibe of a card. I'll use my favourite card as an example:

Oddish's are incredibly small, photosynthesizing pokemon, but they tend to hide in tall grass and beneath larger plants in the day time and are more commonly found at night. They can photosynthesize from the light of the moon. Despite their size and seeming helplessness, poison powder packs a wicked defensive punch and encourages bigger pokemon not to mess with them. Oddishes are known for their rhythmic body movements/swaying and dancing when they are happy. With the addition of Photosynthesis on this card, you get the impression that this is a person who remains strong in the worst of situations, even if they seem small, cute, weak, etc. This card makes me think of optimism, perseverance, and overcoming negative situations. If I were to read this as a situation, I'd say it's one that's slow to resolve and perhaps the gains seem minimal at the time, but remember that Oddish eventually evolves into Vileplume, an absolute defensive beast that I personally have to have in my final 6. This card is an assured victory, it will just take time, patience, and perseverance to get there. All of Erika's pokemon carry feminine energy, because she only allows women into her gym.

Honestly, I started reading with my Pokemon cards initially just to see if I could and then realised I'm such a nerd it's actually really easy and inviting once I relaxed my brain and let it do it's thing.

I have a horror story for you. Once I spent the whole summer with an ENORMOUS HORNET NEST right next to my bedroom window. We tried everything to remove them but nothing worked. If I had my light on at night they would stab my anti-bug thin layer separating me from potential death (a few hornets can kill you). They were aggressive. They would also hit against my window like BAM BAM.... i had many nightmares about them! It was too hot to close my window too... It was the worst summer of my life.
