If you want to help, you have to move.

All Filipinos are end up broken hearted because of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) did in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao. The places are ruined and many people died because of this super typhoon. Thinking how awful it is for those who lost their homes and need a shelter, food, water, clothes and etc. and for those who lost their loved ones made my heart clenched and gave me watery eyes. I’m avoiding watching news because it affects me so much but I really can’t help it, for the big part of my heart wants some updates and urges me to help them. But HOW? I’m still a student and my family doesn’t have much cash. I do really want to help. And I know some of you also have this desire to lend a hand for those victims.

Come to think of it, we can do something without any money involve. Instead of keep updating your status in facebook and keep on tweeting on twitter ‘Pray for the Philippines’ and whatsoever, why don’t we just bend our knees and pray solemnly to the Lord about all these things. The Lord knows everything before we tell it to Him anyway and He knows what to do. We just have to pray, ask it to Him.

Then after praying, I know all of us have ‘unused clothes or old clothes’. If you know you have a lot, let go of those dresses, shirts, shorts, pants or whatever that you’re not using anymore as long as it can still be used by them. Ask the people in your home to rummage their closets/drawers too and urge them to donate it on DSWD, Red Cross, Sagip Kapamilya or to any places who collects donations.

If you have spare time or day-off why not volunteer yourself in repacking relief goods? I know there are a lot of organizations need volunteers, you just have to look and be willing. It will not consume all of your time anyway. 4-5 hours is enough maybe and you did a big part in helping them.

See? We don’t always need money to help. By simply putting your heart to them you can help. Big things come from small things as they say and be part first on the small to a make a big one indeed.

Stop saying you want to help, start moving for you to help. Marami kang magagawa kailangan mo lang talagang gumalaw para may maitulong ka.
