i'm just thinking... in season 1 elena didn't let go stefan when dumped her for her own good, shie fought for him, she even go to his house and then they frick frack, and now and now damon says "i'm bad for you elena" and she is just like crying so hard whoops shit happens i think that a) she is still sired to him and she can't stop him even if she wanted to b) she doesn't care that much. let's be honest, when elena turned on her humanity, one thing that damon wanted was to be chosen by her, and

I definitely still think she’s sired to Damon to be honest. Mostly because I can not deal with the fact that the Elena we all know and love, is gone? I mean Elena would never slut/victim shame her friends, she would never leave Jeremy in the hands of Damon, she would never even accept the fact that she’s a vampire ESPECIALLY when she has to act the way she’s acting right now. Either Elena’s still sired to Damon or Julie has failed with her writing once again.

I’m all for character development and I’m all for characters evolving over the seasons, affected by the choices they make. BUT there’s a big difference between making your character grow from their mistakes and butchering their entire personality. Remember when Elena was furious with Damon when she found out about what he’d done to Caroline? What happened to that? Sure, over the years she might let it go a TINY bit, but that shouldn’t change what she thought actually happened and she should definitely still be on Caroline’s side on this one, especially when Caroline is still very emotionally hurt by it. 

As for the whole Stefan part of the sirebond, I think it’s very clear that even with her sired to Damon, she still can’t entirely fight her feelings for Stefan. She keeps doing what Damon wants and what will make Damon happy. And that didn’t use to be Elena’s top priority, I mean she was known for making her own decisions and doing her own thing, in order to save the people she loved, she never bowed down to Damon and let him take over. She actually had Stefan snap his neck once, so he’d be out of her way? Stefan is clearly very important to her, whether DAMON wants it or not, and yes, she will do what Damon wants her to do. But deep down, I don’t think her feelings for Stefan are long gone, if they were. she wouldn’t bother reenacting their love story or fighting compulsion by thinking of him.

To sum it all up, as I said before either she’s still sired /which would explain a lot, or Julie’s writing is shit. I’m hoping for the first, since I’d rather not have TVD cancelled.
