Visited the Yonghe Lamasery (Lama Temple) today. It had several prayer halls and one of them housed the 26m tall Maitreya Buddha which was carved out from a single white sandalwood tree. Whoooa! Couldn’t take photos inside the prayer halls though so we’ll just take you to see the beautiful temple when you come visit us.
