Being the firstborn, he is very classic, in manners and in ideology.

the one time Ichiji was glad Yonji is such an immature boy.
Ichiji was walking with you outside, circling the castle and chatting. what neither of you knew was Yonji had a plan- to stand on one of the castle bridges and dump a bucket of water on you.
what he didn’t account for was his brother being their beside you.
when the two of you turned the corner, Yonji spotted you first with no sign of witnesses, deeming it the perfect moment to strike he lifted the bucket of water onto the castle wall and dumped it over the side.
he heard a squeal, grinning at the noise because he thought his prank was a success- when it was far from it.
when he didn’t hear anymore noise, no “Yonji?!!” he peeked over the wall, his jaw falling open and his mouth going dry when he saw you holding your hands over your mouth in shock while staring at your boyfriend- who was then doused in water, with his hair completely ruined.
Ichiji’s head shot up and he spotted the familiar green hair peeking over the wall,
“Yonji!”
he growled. he turned to you about to say “wait for me here while I handle that green bastard” when he stopped mid-sentence. you were trying desperately to cover your mouth, your body shaking and little squeaks escaping past your fingers.
“what?”
he stepped forward and gripped your wrists, pulling the away from you while he scowled. your bright laugh filled the air as you stared at your soaked boyfriend, finding his flattened hair h i l a r i o u s.
Ichiji stood frozen, listening to the glorious sound escaping you in a fit of joy, he didn’t even move when you went to place your hand on his head and swipe at his hair.

not only had he heard you laugh for the first time, but you laughed because he tripped Yonji who face-planted into Ichiji’s back which made him stumble forward
you were walking next to Niji who was following behind Yonji and Ichiji on the way back to the castle. you were holding on to Niji’s arm, slightly pouting because you just weren’t in the best mood today- though it had lifted slightly with the return of your boyfriend.
Niji noticed your pout and his scowl turned into a frown, he didn’t like seeing you sad. he knew that you didn’t like to laugh but he could at least make you smile. of course the only way he knew to cheer you was what cheers him up, other peoples’ pain.
he leaned his head down and whispered “watch this” before slipping his arm out of your grip and quickening his steps momentarily, kicking his leg out and sticking his foot in front of Yonji’s right as he took a step- the green haired boy tripped and blindly fell forward, his head crashing into Ichiji’s lower back which made Ichiji stumble forward and turn back glaring.
“that wasn’t me!” Yonji tried to explain but was quickly cut off by Ichiji grabbing his collar and socking him right in the mouth- Niji watched his brothers fight until he heard a faint sound front behind, turning his head slightly and seeing you covering your mouth with your hand.
you could barely hold it together- that was when Ichiji held Yonji to the ground and shoved a handful of grass in his mouth making you throw your head back and laugh brightly.
Niji turned around completely and grinned, admiring your smile and heavenly laugh- enjoying it 10x more because it was because of him, and his brothers’ suffering.
your laugh grew quieter as you calmed down, a bright blush overtaking your cheeks when you saw your boyfriend staring at you. he stepped forward and swung his arm around your shoulder, leaning down and planting a kiss on your lips before leading the both of you past the two boys clawing at each other’s throats.

he tries to make you laugh, constantly- as soon as he found out you don’t like laughing in front of anyone it because his mission to make you laugh in front of him
he would try jokes and hitting his brothers and hitting the servants and hitting civilians and pulling pranks on almost everyone- getting nothing out of you in return.
he would pout whenever you smirked at his failed attempts, but part of him did enjoy the challenge. the other part desperately wanted to hear your joyous laugh fill the tense halls of the castle.
he had tried numerous times, and he was about ready to give up, but he had one final trick- annoyance. dun dun dun
he found you in your bed getting ready to sleep and he pounced, launching himself onto the bed and practically body slamming you.
“Yonji!”
you hit his back while he laughed, turning over and pushing you back into the pillows, holding your arms to the side of you while he straddled your hips and leaned his face down to yours.

-so he grew conceited and told himself you’re stupid and aren’t worth anything, he blamed you for a lot of things and bottled up his anger so that he was constantly on the edge of throwing a punch
-probably the most pleasant of the three to have crushing on you
-he behaves the friendliest out of all of them, asking you to play and going to your house to fetch you
-he also brags of course but he shows you a lot of his toys and lets you play with them
-there’s also bound to be teasing and pushing but when he pushes you down he just m i g h t help you up

-when Yonji came home and didn’t see you playing in the usual spot where you waited for him, he didn’t think anything of it and went to your house but still didn’t find you and after having the guards search everywhere still nothing
-he went to his brothers and ranted about Sanji even more than before and they were just like “yeah we know” “I told you”
-Yonji thought it was because you liked Sanji more and because you thought he was better than him, so a one sided competition started and Yonji’s wish to hurt Sanji grew even more

-for awhile everything was and you were both having fun, but then you turned to look at a rabbit that you spotted
-ichiji thought it would be funny to throw the ball when you weren’t ready

-he forgot to take into account the fact he has powers and you don’t...
-so the ball hit you straight in the face and you fell back onto your butt
-ichiji ran over and saw that your nose was actually bleeding, he was just like “oops”
-he helps you up and brings you to the doctor, he’s not gonna say sorry though
-he won’t really sit with you either, he’ll leave you alone and you’ll find him waiting outsideafter
-the only thing he’ll say regarding the accident is “are you okay?”
-at least he asked though 🥺 then he just drops the whole thing and takesyou somewhere else to play
-when he gets home that night though, he’s a bit more quiet and moody than he usually is and somehow niji found out about the incident and just wouldn’t leave ichiji alone about it
-he’s also a bit snappy with you the next day or two because why are you making him feel things?!
-he bullies you, because he likes you, so you’re bound to get hurt fairly often ☹️ for this sake i’m going to say you got hurt pretty bad by him
-so you and him were walking along one of the castle roofs, not too far away from the castle’s terrace (aka not a very far drop)
-and him being the little jerk he is pushed you, it was going to be one of those fake pushes where he just kind of shakes you
-but instead you fell off and landed on the terrace
-obviously you were hurts, your elbows, knees, forehead, and multiple other places on your body were scratched and bleeding
-and of course you were crying
-niji climbed right down and kept a relatively calm exterior, he wasn’t doing his usual grin instead he looked more serious
-but he was actually internally freaking out
-as much as he couldn’t care less about hurting literally any other person, he your screams and cries of pain didn’t make him feel too good
-he just tried to brush it off telling you it wasn’t much and to stop freaking out
-you’ll have to get up yourself and go to the doctor but niji will follow behind you unusually quiet
-and he’ll stay with you through the doctor, and if the doctor says anything niji doesn’t like or if you cry more because of the antiseptic he’ll scream at him
-he also stays in the room after with you trying to distract you and play with you, it comes off as him not caring but in the back of his mind he’s feeling guilty and just trying to make you forget it was his fault
-honestly it’ll happen kind of regularly with him too, as he also bullies his crush 🙄
-so you weree walking together trying to find something to do, and you just so happened to end up passing some stairs
-and yonji thought it would be funny to push you a little making you think you were about to fall down the stairs
-of course thats not how it went
-you ended up tripping when you tried to regain your balance and you fell down the stairs, thankfully it was only like 5 until the landing
-but you rolled over your wrist and now it really hurts and you have cuts that are stinging and you’re crying and yonji doesn’t know what to do because everytime sanji is like this he just laughs
-so... he laughed
-he teased you for being so clumsy and he went down to you on the landing, but you looked up at him crying
-and you whimpered when you tried to get up but couldn’t and it just made yonji feel weird (guilty)
-so yonji tried to help you up but you pushed him away and got up yourself before running off to your house
-he showed up later with a new toy he made someone buy for you

-there are times he’ll snap at you harshly and then he ends up in an angry staring contest with sanji who defended you
-eventually you’ll ask why he’s being so rude to you and he’ll make what he thinks is an insult but it basically explains that ichiji is angry at you for all you did with sanji
-the moment he heard of the plan and their approaching reunion with sanji, he thought of you. he’s really angry at you for leaving. he jumped to the conclusion you and sanji are dating
-the deep hatred for sanji seemed to increase tenfold when he imagines him strolling in with you on his arm and tongue fucking each others’ mouths in front of him; the whole scenario of having to see and hear about the two of you together evokes a feeling he didn’t know he had, besides the burning fury he also feels a squeezing around his heart and almost fearful sensation
-as the day approaches niji tries to put on a facade that he’s only interested in sanji

-the whole time they ate he was staring you down with a deep frown and his arms crossed
-sanji didn’t want you sleeping alone because.. he’s sanji.. but also because he doesn’t trust any of his brothers. so sanji had you sleep in his room and niji was absolutely outraged. he tried to take it out on sanji but that didn’t do anything
-niji didn’t really talk to you until he found you sitting out on one of the castles balconies where you used to sit together as kids
-he went and sat down beside you and just bluntly insulted you and sanji for a few minutes, when you got up to leave he grabbed you and pulled you back down
-really the whole situation is just filled with insults and anger towards sanji and you, more towards sanji. but also niji tries to talk to you when you’re not with sanji
-so he didn’t actually comprehend that having sanji back would mean having you back, he wasn’t completely sure if you were with sanji until one of the soldiers said you were and then yonji was super excited
-but then he was pissed because that meant you stayed with sanji
-okay so that fight between him and sanji had a touch of his harbored rage and jealousy from you leaving for sanji 😌
-honestly yonji is the nicest during this, or as nice as he can be
-after he gets fixed up from the fight he sees you come in with sanji when they’re going to eat dinner, and he gets those heart eyes because you are just even more gorgeous
-he’s not gonna be nice nice
-he’ll throw some teasing insults at sanji and you but he gets pissed when niji and/or ichiji say something about you and sanji being together
-he actually avoids you for the most part because he’s angry at you and he sticks to beating sanji and insulting him
-he will make some mean comments about you and sanji’s relationship to see how you actually feel about him
-when you’re around, yonji will purposely start a fight with sanji be it verbal or physical
-you get into an argument about why you left and about you and sanji and yonji ends up admitting that he still feels something (he doesn’t know what it is) for you that he felt when you were both younger
-and he says something that lets you know he’s mad at you for leaving him for sanji
