Seokjin continued to hold his hand as they walked down the street and Namjoon was a little more than flustered. It was cute, the way Seokjin was laughing and talking boisterously. Namjoon found that Seokjin really was more beautiful up close and his heart clenched at the idea that he still had another person to meet.
“Yoongi does music as well,” Seokjin said. He had sent a text to Yoongi as soon as they left Namjoon’s apartment, letting him know that he found their soulmate.
“Oh, really?” Namjoon was a little surprised that Seokjin even knew that he did music in the first place. Then again, he was friends with Taehyung and Taehyung had a habit of talking about everyone and anyone in his life.
“He produces, mostly. But sometimes he raps. When we were in high school he used to go to those underground competitions,” Seokjin laughed, his eyes distant as he reminisced. Namjoon bit his bottom lip as he nodded his head.
“You’ve known each other since high school.” It wasn’t a question, more like an observation said in passing, but Seokjin answered him anyways.
“We met each other my last year. He had just transferred in and we happened to have a mutual friend.” Namjoon felt a little shy as Seokjin squeezed his hand but Seokjin looked confident as ever.
Namjoon felt a little serene as he continued to talk to Seokjin. There was comfort in every word, passion thick in Seokjin’s eyes as he talked about himself and Yoongi and their lives together. Namjoon, strangely, didn’t feel like an intruder. He felt safe, and welcome.
“We’re here,” Seokjin said after a few minutes of navigating inside an apartment complex. It was nice, trees and grass healthy and the building not suffering from chipped paint like Namjoon’s. Seokjin leaned forward and for a second Namjoon was positive his heart stopped.
Seokjin’s lips were soft against his and Namjoon mentally cursed himself for not putting on chapstick more often. Still, Namjoon felt carefree and happy as he kissed back and felt Seokjin smile. It didn’t feel rushed or wrong- it was years of anticipation that was finally bleeding out in to the space between them.
When Seokjin pulled back, Namjoon was embarrassed that his lips trailed his for a second but with Seokjin laughing it didn’t last very long. Seokjin was definitely a sight to see after being kissed, his cheeks a subtle shade of pink and eyes twinkling mischievously.
“Come on,” Seokjin said as he tugged Namjoon towards the door. He didn’t bother knocking; he just turned the doorknob and called out a greeting.
A man met them in the living room, a lazy smile on his face as he leaned up to kiss Seokjin on the cheek. Namjoon’s heart squeezed with what he assumed would be jealousy, but instead of greedy thoughts there was just calm.
“So, you’re him?” Namjoon sucked in a deep breath as Yoongi finally made eye contact with him. He was, indeed, beautiful just like Seokjin had described him. He had a small face, with a kittenish nose and soft lips. His eyes, on the other hand, were piercing and firm and Namjoon cleared his throat before speaking.
“Yeah, I’m him,” he said. Yoongi was smiling again, albeit not as excited as Seokjin was in between them, and reached out to take Namjoon’s free hand in his own.
“Looks like we’ve got a match, Seokjin-ah.”
~
Namjoon fit in to their schedule nicely. He didn’t move in with them, even though Seokjin offered many times. He still had a contract with Hoseok and his landlord and figure it would be nicer to slowly build up their relationship before taking such a big step.
Taehyung was ecstatic about it. He had told their parents and siblings about Seokjin and Yoongi before Namjoon could even process the fact that he had found both of his soulmates in one day.
While Seokjin was a lot more open about kissing and dates, Yoongi was more laidback. He preferred to watch Seokjin dote over Namjoon during their date nights, as he said it made him happy to see the two people he loved love each other.
Seokjin insisted that Yoongi took longer to warm up to people. After all, the first time he kissed Namjoon was two weeks after they met. Namjoon was okay with it, since every time he felt a little insecure about how Yoongi felt about him Yoongi was always there to reassure him with a compliment about his music or a sign of affection.
The first night Namjoon spent the night over at Yoongi and Seokjin’s apartment, he wasn’t all that surprised when Yoongi insisted that Seokjin slept in the middle. Namjoon wondered briefly if Yoongi was just more comfortable being next to Seokjin, but when he woke up with Yoongi’s fingers intertwined in his over Seokjin’s stomach he understood.
Namjoon was sure they were going to be okay.
Fandom: BTS Pairing: Yoonjinjoon Rating: PG Genre: Fluff Summary: Namjoon meets Kim Seokjin. / soulmates au (requested by anon)
(+previous)
Namjoon didn’t expect to see Kim Seokjin at hisyounger brother’s birthday party.
Seokjin was beautiful, really, with a graceful smile and a dominating personality that made everyone in the room want to look at him (or maybe that was just Namjoon).
He knew he shouldn’t stare at Seokjin. Seokjin already found his soulmate- the name Yoongi came to mind but Namjoon really wasn’t sure. He had never talked to either of them, choosing to only admire from afar. The two phrases on his wrist seemed to burn the longer he stared at Seokjin and he turned away before their gazes locked.
I’ve heard a lot about you.
So, you’re him?
He remembered the initial confusion of the two phrases when he hit puberty; his mother had tried to convince him that there was nothing wrong with having two soulmates. Namjoon felt a little broken, a little different whenever someone looked at the writing on his wrist with wide eyes.
At first he thought that the two phrases were just one long phrase, but the differences in the writing always proved him otherwise.
“I didn’t know Taehyung talked to Seokjin,” Namjoon said offhandedly to Jeongguk as he helped him grab the food platters.
Jeongguk shrugged and said, “I guess they have a class together? Tae knows a lot of people.”
Namjoon pushed the thought to the back of his mind and figured he could question Taehyung about it later. It wasn’t that strange for Taehyung to talk to everyone and anyone he could. He was a social little thing, always would be, and Namjoon supposed one of them had to be.
“Hyung!” Namjoon barely had enough time to turn before his brother barreled in to him, arms thrown around his waist.
“What’s up, Taetae?” Namjoon met Jeongguk’s laughing eyes and tried to pry himself away from Taehyung’s death grip to no avail.
“I want to introduce you to my friends,” Taehyung was smiling against the front of his shirt, invisible to his eyes, but he could tell in the way his brother’s eyebrows were raised and his eyes crinkled. Namjoon sent a small signal to Jeongguk for help but the younger spun away with a wicked grin.
“I don’t really think-”
“C’mon, you don’t want to ever meet my friends!” Namjoon could come up with a hundred reasons why, but Taehyung would probably start fake crying in the middle of the kitchen and Namjoon really didn’t need that.
“Fine, who do you want me to meet?” Taehyung pushed himself off of Namjoon’s chests and threaded their fingers together, pulling his brother in to the living room.
“This is Hoseok!” Taehyung practically shoved him on to the guy and Namjoon cleared his throat as he backed a respectable distance away.
“Taehyung,” he said. “Hoseok is my roommate.”
“True,” Taehyung said and Hoseok just looked confused. Namjoon waved him off with a sympathetic smile and patted his brother on the head. “Well, wait, there’s someone else here you don’t know.”
Namjoon followed Taehyung’s gaze and his blood ran could. Seokjin waved at them from across the room and Namjoon wondered how he managed to look so beautiful in a room full of cheap latex balloons and streamers Taehyung bought on clearance. Namjoon shook his head and tried to sputter out an excuse but Taehyung was already pushing him over. He forgot how strong Taehyung could be.
“Seokjin hyung, this is my Namjoon hyung,” Taehyung said with a wide smile. Namjoon considered smacking him over the head for being so ditzy, especially when he was being introduced to Kim Seokjin out of everyone in the room.
Seokjin was even more beautiful up close. Namjoon had seen him in passing, mostly, had heard about him from friends. Seokjin was fairly popular on campus, what with his reputation in their student government and his generally good character. His eyelashes were long, framing large eyes that exemplified his warm features. The way he smiled was so welcoming, so confident, so vivid.
Namjoon felt a little stupid, having a crush on someone that was already taken, but he couldn’t deny the way his eyes always moved to Seokjin whenever he was in the room. He couldn’t deny how much he admired Seokjin for being so full of life.
“I’ve heard a lot about you,” Seokjin said and Namjoon’s heart stuttered as he tried to suppress the thoughts of ‘soulmate?’ running in his head. Seokjin already had his soulmate and it wasn’t Namjoon.
“Only good things, I hope,” Namjoon replied, albeit a little tight lipped and stiff. Seokjin visibly paused at his words and Namjoon wondered if his tone had come off as rude.
“Wait, what?” Namjoon didn’t know what to say when Seokjin was looking at him like he had two heads.
“Um, I hope Tae’s only told you good things about me?” The repetition seemed to do something as suddenly Seokjin was smiling. Namjoon flinched as his wrist was suddenly pulled up and he didn’t know why Seokjin was-
Oh.
“Soulmate,” Seokjin said and Namjoon was positive he was going to pass out on the spot.
“Holy shit.” Taehyung sounded shocked but Namjoon didn’t dare to look at him, too caught up in the fact that beautiful, beautiful Kim Seokjin was his soulmate. Namjoon’s smile was cheek splitting as he realized that, since Seokjin already had a soulmate, both of his soulmates were finally within reach.
“Yoongi’s going to love you,” Seokjin said, tapping his fingers down Namjoon’s wrist and palm until they could curl around Namjoon’s.
“Can we-” Namjoon cleared his throat, “-go see him?”
“Is that okay?” Seokjin asked Taehyung and Namjoon took the time to catch his breath.
“Go, hyung, fall in love!” Namjoon groaned as Taehyung gave him too thumbs up and proceeded to shove them out of the house.
Namjoon tried to make a weak claim that it was his apartment they were throwing the party in and that he was just kicked out of his own home, but with Seokjin smiling at him with stars in his eyes he couldn’t really complain.
aromantic bisexual genderfluid yoongi in a poly queerplatonic with heteroromantic homosexual jin and non-binary demiromantic pansexual namjoon. namjoon and yoongi are both subs and jin doms the shit out of them and they love it, always up for some qp after care once theyre done. sometimes taehyung walks in on them sleeping in a sort of cuddle-heap in jins bed.
I literally clutched my chest while reading this ask because it is too perfect. Honestly all you’d have to do is add in a romantic but non-sexual open relationship between Jin and Gukjoo and I would actually cry.
