This is shilling, plain and simple. I actually used to follow Yorkie but she behaved strange, always crying on Twitter, yrs ago, about how no one would talk to her. Then I realized a few weeks ago that she follows a lot of the Sophie Hunter sock puppets like Jilldar. So far in the past few weeks she has:

Tweeted about Freebatch, which Sherlock fandom was always told NOT to do outside Tumblr & ao3

Started a rumor online that fans were being mean about Benedict being snubbed by Golden Globes. I was there. They weren't. It was an absolutely spontaneous combustion of fans from around the world who were just shocked. They had their say about the unfairness then moved on. SHE kept talking about it on the GG thread days later

Keeps accusing Ben openly on Twitter of being in the closet, as the above post shows and giving Sophie a pass on everything while simultaneously saying Ben looks unhappy. This is a Whisper Campaign and it's disgusting. I have found that for me personally, the biggest betrayal on this site has been finding out just how many Sherlock fans and blogs are actually fake and just paid to be here, stirring up trouble and manipulating fans. It's fucked up. BEYOND!

Separating this out from @yorkiepug​‘s post because it’s so true that it hurts:

just got back from my mom’s. 

She’s slipping into dementia, and she’s hard of hearing. 

Those two things are linked in sad ways: hearing loss all by itself can cause dementia: literally shrinking cortex because of loss of aural input; and even an early stage of dementia makes it more difficult for the person to find adaptive strategies to compensate for the mis-hearing words. 

Today was a bad day. 

I was asking did she want anything more (for lunch). She must have guessed that I was asking “did you draw”? and she told me she drew the face for the carved jack-o-lantern (which was on the kitchen counter). 

Okay, that was sorta cute. 

But afterwards I could not get her to understand that it was time for our daily walk. I watched the expressions crossing her face, which showed her not understanding a single word; she was hearing sounds but it was as if I were speaking Martian to her. 

There’s a person in there, but that person is increasingly getting locked away from connection with the rest of the world. I’m sad. 

Well, the cartoon is still funny. Look how happy the guy in the yellow jacket is! 

And now I think I’ll have a beer.

10, 14, 22 for the Salty Asks

10. Most disliked arc? Why?

This is a close tie between John and Mary. But I’m going to have to say John because I care about him more and the utter assassination of his character actually means something to me. Mary’s arc was more just annoying. And she was only relevant for a short bit anyway. Sherlock Holmes and John Watson got on just fine before her, and they’ll continue to thrive without her. Whereas John’s ruined arc affects the show as a whole. 

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

Okay since tjlc is pretty much over and the johnlock fandom has divided itself into little subgroups, I can say this now without being eaten alive. But pre-S4, I thought some - not all - some of the tjlc BNFs were uhhhh… kind of elitist and condescending towards any johnlockers who weren’t in their little friend group, and it always annoyed the hell out of me. Like they thought they were hot shots because they were popular on tumblr and that their ideas were gospel and no one was allowed to disagree. It was just kind of eye-roll worthy, and if it wasn’t for tjlc, I would’ve unfollowed them all much sooner. But our current BNFs are all super sweet and awesome and I love them <3 

22. Popular character you hate?

Mary. This needs no explaining.

It's really creepy that people have saved her instagram photos and are reposting them on twitter. They want to be private, leave them alone.

Yeah, and I understand that people have questions, I also have a few questions, but I am not going to dig any deeper for now... except ever since those photos were made public, people have been asking for “confirmation” and “sources” and ugh, it’s messy, and just because someone from twitter couldn’t put two and two together and published photos they had found on someone else’s account...

1. Even though I’m post-call, my co-reg brought in the Friday morning donuts. And let’s be real. Post-call coffee and donuts are amazing.

2. Even though it’s kinda cool and grey and rainy out... I’m post-call, so I have an excuse to lay in bed all cozy under the duvet instead of trying to be productive.

3. I miss the man-frand-ance when I’m at work, and where we were in different cities for 18 months, now it’s only about 36hrs where I don’t get to see him and I know he’ll finish work today and want cuddles.

4. Whatever delicious, delicious crack they put in this chai I’m drinking... hugs for my insides.

5. That even though @yorkiepug is having a down day, she’s out there spreading the love and happy, and we may actually get to meet IN PERSON SOON! (In London... Not in MN... where we both are from... because that would make sense... so... yeah.)
