Anyone think about how many random Rae bands there are scattered about the world that we’ll never know of because someone has them that either knows what they are or doesn’t?
Imagine a restaurant in a small town in the mountains that is typically only frequented by locals, and the restaurant happened to have a Rae. No one would know of its existence if nobody ever posts about it online.
Random thought:
Was listening to every showtape the other day, and it had me thinking…
Imagine you’re listening to music and some of the Rock-afire’s songs play, you have never seen them before, but you like how they sound.
You decide to look up what they look like, and you’re met with this.
I know this fandom is full of kids when someone messages me on discord asking why I got into the Rae so late in life… I’m 23 bro.
Random Thought:
The shock I get when the person I’m talking to doesn’t need me to explain who the RAE is, because they already know. It feels wrong just saying the character names without describing it😭
Random thought:
The Rae was all handmade. It wasn’t like how cars are made on massive automated assembly lines.
Every part of a character was crafted by a person. Every single aspect of the entire show, from assembly, cosmetics, stage props, recording, and programming was all created by actual people.
It breathes an extra feeling of life into it all. In a time where everything is manufactured through automation in some way, it’s so special to know how many people were a part of making this band a reality.
This thought is so specific to people who own animatronics.
Do you believe your version of a character is a doppelgänger of many clones (or brother/sister??) or do you believe your version of a character is the definitive, and every other version is just idek, someone playing them as a role?
Kinda like how the fandom can differentiate “Volo’s Beach Bear” or “BBWL’s Mitzi”, even “*insert collector’s name* character. There is differentiations between the same character across their appearances.
I really just be waking up with the most important questions in life, like am I fr rn? 😭 Anyway, to answer my own question, my version of a character is the definitive of them in my mind. I do not have the same connection to other versions of the same character. I still enjoy seeing them, and it’s not that I think no other version looks good, it’s that they just are not who I think of in my head when I think of the character as if they were sentient.
Does anyone else have to pretend that they don’t think about the RAE at all hours of the day? Like you have to pretend you’re a normal person 😭
