A bit suspicious since I'm posting this on mobile but
So I was talking to a friend about how much the Haikyuu!! manga update killed us both so I ended up writing this to make it a bit better? Aha The Karasuno team could only stare on in horror as their captain lay on his side, motionless (with exception to his side that heaved with each breath). Normally, he would have gotten up by now with a strict reminder to stay on their guard and to take it easy. This time, he didn't get up, nor did he call for help. He didn't smile to let them know he was okay, nor did he make any clear indication as to what level of pain he was experiencing. The atmosphere was tense, as no one knew quite what to do. Moving him could increase his pain level and worsen his injury. When the medical examiner at hand gathered his kit to approach the fallen player, he was stopped by a single arm. "Let me talk to him first...please." Walking onto court with a comforting smile, he first approached the other players that had just been playing alongside their captain, gesturing to the benches. Unsurprisingly, no one protested as they kept their gaze to the ground, each individually blaming himself for the injury at hand. Nishinoya in particular was taking it pretty badly, having had a front row seat to the accident. Asashi, in response, had gathered the shorter male into his chest as he watched the libero's shoulders shake slightly. He tried his best to calm Nishinoya down, whispering soft words of comfort into his ear as he rubbed gentle circles into his back. Having finally reached his destination, he sat down, cupping the captain's cheek in one hand. "What have you done to yourself this time, Daichi?" A sigh. "You've got to at least give me a sign that you're okay, please. Just nod or smile; do anything, because honestly, I'm pretty damn scared right now. I'll do anything, just...give me some sort of sign, Daichi." For a few minutes, nothing changed. Daichi continued to lie on his side, Karasuno looked on, and-. "A...Any...Anything? You really mean that, Suga?" He coughed, rolling onto his back as he forced a smile. "Does anything include wearing a sailor school girl uniform?" Sugawara's face darkened as he slapped the male before him with the back of his hand, "I'm sorry, what were you saying? You're ready to get up now?" He turned to his team, giving them a thumbs up as he reached out a hand towards Daichi. "The things I do for you, really..." He huffed, frowning a little when the other pushed away any help he offered once he was standing. His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Daichi..." Ignoring the looks he was getting, Daichi pulled Sugawara in the general direction of the Karasuno bench. "You can play doctor tonight, okay Suga? I'll keep your school girl offer in mind, though." The next day, Daichi walked in sporting a pair of crutches and new bruises. He was smiling, like usual, though he paid special attention to Sugawara, who was grumbling to himself. "Of all things....schoolgirls aren't that pretty, are they?" And yeah. I tried.
