I open tumblr and what is the first thing I see? I see a post defending Jared. Last time this happened, people had mistaken a joke he’d made as him being a misogynistic jerk, when in reality it was all a misunderstanding. Jared had been caught in drag before and his comment was not, in any way, an insult to women. Apparently this time, he insulted the death of a famous actor who’d been fooling around with drugs in his past and eventually let his problem win. While Jared's comment was not particularly kind, isn't there some truth hidden deep underneath? Yes, some people have problems with substance abuse that they can't help, but it doesn't excuse the fact that what they're doing isn't healthy. No one, no matter how old or how famous, can be excused for drug abuse. Alright, slap me for that if you want.

Jared’s tweet could’ve been a lot less offensive if he’d thought about it, sure, but in no way is he saying that actors who die because of drug abuse are stupid. He was actually saying that it was not a total tragedy. He has a different definition of tragedy than other people in the sense that he views genocide as a tragedy. In other words, the death of a large mass of people is more sad to him than the death of a single person. Who are we to criticize his views? Getting a bit touchy aren’t we, tumblr?

Just…Jared’s tweet wasn’t his best move and everyone (including himself) is aware of that. Everyone has their opinions about what happened and what they think about what happened, and that’s okay. In fact, it’s great that we all have different opinions. What’s not okay is telling people to hurt themselves or telling them that they are wrong because they’re thinking differently from you. If you’re bullying someone for defending Jared or you’re bullying someone for talking shit about him, let me tell you this. I. Don’t. Care. Why. You’re. Bullying. Him. There is no conceivable reason in this whole world that could possibly excuse your horrid and otherwise stupid behavior. It’s plain rude to tell people off because of what they think and it’s just stupid and uncalled for to take it farther than that. Got a problem with that? Tell me. Talk to me on anon if you have to and tell me why you think what I'm saying is stupid and utter bullshit because I'd like to know why. Tumblr has a horrible habit of doing that, you know.
