Me: *reading about the Gospel of Judas* Author: "Could it be that in the very earliest traditions, which have now been lost, Judas was seen as an intimate of Jesus who simply did his master's will?"* Me: !! *looks at my altar of Judas and Jesus* ARE YOU AN INTIMATE OF JESUS??? XD

It may be prudent to note that not only do they share the altar, but that they are embodied by two Beanie Baby bears that are handfasted together by a broken necklace chain. While I do not subscribe to any of the frankly disrespectful "omg jesus and judas were gayyyy" shit, I cannot deny that they care deeply for each other. I fucking handfasted them in the form of stuffed bears and broken necklaces.

Kinda disappointed in myself that I didn't speak up during silent worship today, because I had the desire to, I wanted to sing the chorus of Burial Blessing by Johnny Flynn, but I didn't. But also just glad that 1) I went, and 2) I had the realization that this is what a community is supposed to be. You're supposed to want to be there, and also feel okay not being there for a bit. I actively wanted to stay and talk to people, even if I wouldn't have gone to the programed worship / sermon. It felt good to be there. I'm sad that I didn't speak when I felt the calling to, sad that I didn't stick around to talk to folks, but I went and I felt respected and connected.
