Stream The Sun Parade's Album "Yossis" Now Via MSN Music!

This has been a big week for Northampton, MA folk duo The Sun Parade. Their debut album Yossis was released on Tuesday, and in conjunction, the Ian Cinco-directed music video for lead single "Need You By My Side" dropped on Monday.

The Sun Parade Debut Music Video For "Need You By My Side"

Northampton-based folk/rock duo The Sun Parade unveiled the music video for their single "Need You By My Side" on Monday, in conjunction with their show at Tammany Hall in New York City, as part of the New Music Seminar. Directed by Ian Cinco, the video is a beautifully shot five-minute piece featuring band-members Jefferson Lewis and Chris Marlon Jennings, as well as a cadre of friends, It captures a lot of the vintage 60's-era, burned vignette style, saturated in rich color and playing with the effects of light and shadow.

The song is an upbeat foot-stomper that leads off The Sun Parade's new album Yossis, out today. Named "Top Song of 2011" by WRSI 93.9 and 101.5, "Need You By My Side" has already made considerable noise, but will only do more-so with the release of this video. Cinco's art direction is whimsical and appealing, matching the winsome duo's sound. Watch it above!
